I am a trauma-focused therapist and I work with adolescents, adults and couples navigating anxiety, depression, PTSD, childhood abuse, and other distressing life experiences.
My approach to therapy is guided by something my Grandpa Ted Ross said:
"When you are with something and try to understand it, you learn to love it."
I aspire to provide a compassionate and intuitive presence (with 16+ years of experience) to support your journey to contact, connect with, and express your Core Self while understanding + learning to love the obstacles and challenges that come with being human.
Many of the solutions we seek are already inside of us. They can be hard to find, but it is possible. Using talk therapy and emotional regulation skills, we’ll work together to identify goals and practices that fit with the life you’re eager to live. I will provide compassionate, steady support as you navigate anxiety, depression, family or relationship challenges, recovery from addiction, and the impacts of ADHD.
I tailor therapy to meet your individual needs and always consider cultural and social context. I also collaborate with other therapists to offer educational and support groups several times a year. Using a combination of physical, emotional, and cognitive tools, we’ll work to improve daily functioning, strengthen coping skills, and increase the joy and ease in your life.
I earned my Master’s in Counseling from Regis University, and I work with adults across a variety of life stages and transitions.

I specialize with women, kids, parents, and teen girls. I offer in person, virtual, and nature based wellness sessions. I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC), licensed addiction counselor (LAC), and registered Dance/Movement Therapist (R-DMT). I take a whole-body, person-centered, and strengths-based approach to counseling and utilize a variety of modalities to address the unique needs of clients. I strive to create a welcoming and judgement free space to help you find healing, resilience, and personal growth. I have worked in a variety of mental health settings and I am passionate about helping others navigate and rise above life’s challenges.
I have more availability than my Headway calendar reflects. Once you schedule and we speak over the phone, I can provide additional times.
My passion lies in instilling hope that recovery and wellness is possible – and worth it! I specialize in eating disorders, mood & anxiety disorders, grief, and the unexpected twists & turns of life. It would be a privilege to walk alongside you as you navigate this journey.
I am currently accepting new clients. I’m so glad you’re here. Taking the step to reach out is often the hardest part, so congratulations on being here. I especially love supporting women navigating anxiety, depression, big life changes, postpartum, and the ups and downs of motherhood. After 15 years in this field, I know how much lighter life can feel with the right support, and I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
I have been in counseling for over 19 years. I love working with teens through adulthood clients.

Factors to Consider When Choosing a Mental Health Therapist in Golden, CO
Searching for therapists in Golden starts with finding someone whose training matches what you want help with. Therapists may support people living with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, grief, work stress, or major life transitions. As you compare Golden therapy options, look for specialties and approaches that fit your needs, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, or eye movement desensitization and reprocessing. A therapist’s profile can also show how they structure sessions and what kinds of concerns they focus on.
Golden is a smaller city, so local appointment options may vary by neighborhood, schedule, and office location. You may find therapists near Downtown Golden, South Golden, or North Golden, while virtual appointments can expand your options across Colorado. When comparing Golden counseling services, consider whether the therapist is accepting new clients, offers times that fit your calendar, provides in-person or virtual sessions, and offers a free phone consultation. Reading bios before booking can help you understand each therapist’s communication style, background, and approach to care.
Therapy in Golden can be expensive without insurance. Using in-network coverage is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and understand what you may pay before your first appointment. Headway helps you compare therapists who accept a wide range of insurance plans, verify your benefits, and see an estimated out-of-pocket cost before you book. You can browse therapists in Golden, review profiles, and book directly when you’re ready.
