I have a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have worked in the healthcare field for over 30 years in a variety of settings including hospitals, home health, and mental health facilities. A highlight of my career was being able to provide healthcare and mental health services while volunteering in China, India, and serving in Peace Corps Mongolia.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time outside surrounded by trees and near a river or creek. I enjoy learning and make time to enhance my own personal growth. I also like to play games, ski, and listen to podcasts.
I help highly sensitive persons navigate the stressors and challenges in the world to find their authentic self and a life worth embracing. Do you think deeply about the world, yourself, and those around you? Do you experience a profound sense of empathy, feeling more deeply than most people around you? Do you find challenges in communicating your inner most thoughts and feelings with others? Do feel lost and want to find a way to get back on track? I am here to guide you on your journey.
Hey, I'm Wes — and I'm glad you've landed here. I specialize in working with people (13+) and families. If you're having trouble navigating conflict, self-defeating behaviors, emptiness, numbing, anxiety, depression, lack of fulfilment or meaning, stress, anger, loneliness, relationship issues, low self-esteem, or questions of identity, I recommend you reach out. Through my practice, I've successfully helped clients move past issues that have blocked them from living fully, completely, and whole-heartedly. Like so many clients who have worked with me consistently, you too could find more joy, happiness, success, and peace in the areas of your life that matter most to you.
I am a veteran with a tech background, and I have over 12 years of experience as a counselor. I went back to school in my 40's, so I bring a lifetime of practical experience to my work. I focus on getting to the heart of the matter with clients, while looking for perspective into what may have caused the problem, and tools for the future. We will meet in person most or all of the time - I find this to be more effective.
I am a licensed therapist with experience supporting children, teens, and adults through challenges such as anxiety, depression, social anxiety, self-esteem struggles, and the pressure of high expectations. I use a collaborative and creative approach, often integrating mindfulness to help clients stay grounded and build awareness of their thoughts and emotions. Depending on each person’s needs, I may incorporate art-based activities, coping skills training, or reflective conversation. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel understood and empowered to grow.
I believe therapy begins with feeling safe, heard, and genuinely understood. I work to create a warm and supportive space where clients can be themselves without judgment and feel comfortable being honest about what they are experiencing. Building a trusting therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work, and I believe that meaningful change happens when clients feel supported while also being gently challenged to move toward the life they want.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Metropolitan State College of Denver and my Master’s degree in Counseling from Regis University. I have worked in the mental health field since 2014, with experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults through a variety of personal and emotional challenges. My professional background has allowed me to work with individuals and families while developing individualized treatment approaches based on each client’s needs, strengths, and goals.

I take a person-centered approach grounded in empathy, connection, and collaboration. I am trained in EMDR and may incorporate EMDR and other therapeutic approaches when appropriate to help clients process difficult experiences, build resilience, and create meaningful change.
Most importantly, I want my clients to know that they do not have to navigate difficult seasons alone. My goal is to meet you where you are, understand what matters to you, and work alongside you at a pace that feels supportive and manageable.

Throughout my practice, it has been an honor to help facilitate extraordinary transformation in the lives of my clients. Believe me when I say that, “Anything is possible,” as I have witnessed my clients overcome trauma, grief, depression, anxiety and hardcore drug addiction.
Often, our feelings of shame, hurt and fear rob us of the opportunity to experience true joy and fulfillment in our lives. Do you find yourself running from these feelings or always fighting against them? Instead, I can help you embrace them and work through them. It is through this process of transformation where you learn to find acceptance, meaning
and purpose in your life. This leads to living with self-authenticity, and this is when you experience true joy and fulfillment. I look forward to being your catalyst for change. Together, we will take this journey and progress at your own pace. I encourage you to take the first step and make an appointment. Your life is worth it!
