My goal is to help you access internal resources and make adjustments that can be helpful. Since 2013, my focus has been working with individuals who are dealing with a variety of issues, including trauma. I enjoy working with a diverse population including individuals who are dealing with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and grief, to develop a plan to bring positive changes.
Hi, I'm Nava Narayani. I'm a holistic psychotherapist with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health and a concentration in Buddhist Psychology and Contemplative Psychotherapy from Naropa University, with additional training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), marriage & family therapy, somatic therapy, and attachment theory. I came to this work through my own healing journey including recovery from sexual trauma, anxiety, and depression, which led me to travel the world seeking wisdom from diverse healing traditions before returning to the US to pursue graduate training that honored both the science of psychology and the depth of contemplative practice. Clients often tell me they feel genuinely seen in our work together, and I believe that's because I show up with both clinical skill and lived, embodied understanding of the human experience. My style is gentle yet direct, with warmth and empowerment to encourage your growth.
I work primarily with adults experiencing substance use, trauma, depression, and anxiety. I have a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology with 9 years of experience in private practice, inpatient substance use clinics, and community based mental health centers.
My approach combines over 20 years of experience working in healthcare with multiple degrees in nursing and psychology/psychiatry. I have a strong background in addiction medicine, as well as general mental health care.
Greetings and Aloha.
Welcome to my professional profile! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 7 years of experience helping individuals navigate anxiety, stress, trauma, and other mental health challenges.
As your therapist, I offer a space that is nonjudgmental, kind, and genuinely welcoming. I understand that trying new ways of facing life's challenges can be intimidating, and my goal is to help you feel as comfortable as possible throughout that process.
Professionally, I bring experience from a variety of challenging settings—including my time serving clients and families in foster care and nursing homes, even through the COVID-19 pandemic. My academic foundation is rooted right here in Colorado, having attended CSU and Adams State.
Personally, I'm a native Coloradan, a bonus mom, and a lover of all things creative, including photography and fine art.
My ultimate purpose in this work is simple: to be an open and secure space where you can process your journey, question mindsets that no longer serve you, and work toward being the best version of yourself—as you define it.
What I want you to know about me as a therapist is that I learn from and alongside the people I work with. Curiosity is vital to my work. As a person, I value storytelling of all kinds, be it through conversation or creative outlets (like theatre, art, music, etc.). As someone who spent much of my life on a stage, I show up in therapy as a dynamic collaborator. Regardless of your age or perspective, I want to work with you and what is important to you to provide the best care I can.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Social Work. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), with extensive experience in both community settings and private practice. I specialize in supporting women through the unique challenges they face in life. I offer a compassionate, empathetic approach to help women navigate anxiety, depression, struggles with identity, and the journey toward recognizing their self-worth.
Maybe you've tried to manage it on your own and are still struggling. That's not a failure. That's a sign that what you need is a space where you get to discover your own strengths. Whether you're working through something related to substance use, depression, anxiety, or just life stress, the answers aren't somewhere outside of you. They're within you. I have nearly 30 years of experience helping people unlock their own potential. I accept most insurances and booking is simple. A free 15-minute consultation is the easiest first step — no commitment, just a conversation to see if it's the right fit. Click below to schedule yours.
