I also have a background of working with young adults transitioning to independent living, as well as adults of all ages.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Colorado, and have been practicing as a therapist since 2022. Prior to this, I worked with youth, adults, and families in a variety of case management roles, including in schools, domestic violence shelters, shelters for those without housing, and families experiencing various systems involvement. Hi, I’m Kelly Cramer, a licensed professional counselor in Colorado and an LPCC in New Mexico. I have spent much of my career supporting kids, teens, and young adults—both in schools and through telehealth—so I’m comfortable with the real-life pressures that show up at home, at school, and in relationships. I also specialize in supporting adults through trauma, life transitions, and stress. I am a doctoral student in Counselor Education and Supervision at Oregon State University, with a research interest in the intersection of climate change and mental health. I care a lot about doing this work, engaging with thoughtfulness and integrity. I am noted as a therapist who is warm, practical, and genuinely on your team.
I earned my doctorate degree in clinical psychology from the University of Denver and have been in private practice for over ten years. I consider it an honor to be in relationship with my clients and to help them better understand themselves and change their lives. I strive to celebrate and create a safe space for all aspects of your identity.
With a background in Psychology (Washburn University) and a Master’s in Social Work (University of Denver), I bring both education and empathy to my practice. I specialize in supporting adults and teens navigating anxiety, trauma, and the challenges of living as neurodivergent individuals in a world that doesn’t always fit. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practices that honor each client’s unique story. I also hold a certificate in Human–Animal–Environment Interactions, which deepens my understanding of connection, healing, and growth.
I enjoy taking a person centered, strength based approach to therapy. I like to spend time getting to know my clients, their view of the world, and the experiences that have shaped them. On the surface, substance use has been my speciality, but I find that substance use is typically secondary to underlying mental health or trauma related concerns. Because of that, I have experience in a wide range of concerns and practice with varying approaches suited to meet the individual client's needs.
In therapy with me, you’ll find a space that balances comfort with challenge. We’ll explore what matters most, get curious about patterns, and use humor when it helps lighten the load. I work with individuals and couples, helping you reconnect with your strengths, make meaningful choices, and build relationships that feel genuine to you.
