Since therapy is about you, I will offer a little about myself. I was born and raised in rural Appalachia. My dad was a steel worker and a solid human being. He was the coach of my little league baseball team and taught me everything about nature. My mom however, was the one who inspired me to become a therapist. She never went to school for psychology, but she was one of the most naturally astute observers of human behavior I have ever known. She had an innate ability to truly see people, and they were drawn to her because of it. Her greatest gift was her discernment: she knew exactly when someone needed a silent, supportive ear and when they needed a practical problem solver. She always gave people precisely what they were seeking, and watching her transform lives just by listening is what made me want to do the same.
Hi, I'm Kelsey. I know reaching out for therapy can feel intimidating, and my goal is to help create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself from the very beginning. I believe people heal the best when they are heard, supported and never judged for what they are going through.
I work with teens and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma emotional stress, substance use concerns, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. I also have experience supporting individuals navigating co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges.
My style is warm, collaborative, and genuine. I want therapy to feel approachable and meaningful - a place where we can work together to better understand patterns, process difficult experiences, build coping skills and help move towards the version of life you want for yourself.
My goal is that you feel genuinely seen, supported, and understood in our work together. I bring a warm, grounded, and collaborative style to therapy, helping adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship stress, and long‐standing emotional patterns. I pay close attention to the deeper themes beneath the surface—your beliefs, your protective strategies, and the ways you’ve learned to cope—so we can create meaningful, lasting change. My goal is to help you feel safe, empowered, and more connected to yourself from the very beginning.
