Hi, I'm Adaobi — a Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of experience in nursing and outpatient mental health care.
If you're looking for someone who will truly listen, you're in the right place. My clients often tell me that what they value most is feeling heard — and that's exactly where I start. Whether you're dealing with depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, or something you can't quite name yet, I'm here to help you make sense of it without judgment.
I am committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care. As a Doctor of Nursing Practice and Board-Certified Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I approach every patient with respect, empathy, and a focus on safety. My clinical decisions are grounded in current research, best practices, and your individual needs.
I believe in a collaborative and transparent treatment process. I value open communication. I want you to feel comfortable discussing your symptoms, concerns, and goals so we can work together to create a plan that truly supports your mental health.
You have probably been carrying more than you let on, and somewhere along the way, just getting through the day became the goal. I work with children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, family stress, and life transitions that feel bigger than expected. I also support parents who are looking for help for a child or teenager who is struggling to find their footing. Whatever brings you here, my goal is to make sure you feel genuinely heard from the very first conversation.
Being told I "talk too much" in grade school has really worked out for me. I have 15 + years of experience working with diverse populations. Those populations include: homeless persons, LGBTQ+, those with chemical dependency, those living with HIV/AIDS, adolescents, college students, incarcerated persons, and senior adults. My experience and education has afforded me the opportunity to provide psychotherapy (which includes teletherapy), group therapy, consultation, and outreach services. I received my Masters in Mental Health Counseling through Capella University. I am dedicated to diversity, inclusion, and equity.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor (LCSW-S) with more than 20 years of experience in social work and behavioral health. Throughout my career, I have worked with children, adults, and families, with a particular focus on individual and group therapy with adults. Most recently, my clinical work has centered on supporting Veterans experiencing PTSD and trauma-related concerns. I also have extensive experience helping individuals navigate parenting challenges, major life transitions, relationship and family concerns, stress, anxiety, depression, and other experiences that can impact emotional well-being.
