I believe therapy is a collaborative process that creates space for healing and growth. My goal is to help clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to explore their experiences.
Helping people heal and grow is my goal.
For me, therapy is not just a profession but a calling – a way to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
As a compassionate therapist, I genuinely care about helping people heal from challenges and experience growth.
I specialize in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and PCIT (Parent-Child Interactive Therapy), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I work closely with clients to address trauma, anxiety, and relationship challenges using proven therapy models.
I'm a therapist who specializes in trauma. I'm familiar with symptoms of anxiety and depression both in clinical practice and from my own lived experience. I am a queer, neurodivergent therapist who specializes in PTSD, LGBTQ+ issues, and empowering women. I want to give my clients the vocabulary to put their feelings to words and heal old wounds. I like to focus on problem-solving and teaching coping skills to address the daily discomfort you feel. I graduated with honors from a Master's Clinical Mental Health Counseling program and have 5 years of clinical experience.
I am a Licensed Therapist with nearly 25 years of experience helping children, adolescents, and families build emotional resilience and create healthier relationships. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in the same patterns, you do not have to navigate it alone. Having served as a clinical director in the past, I am deeply committed to providing direct care and creating a supportive environment where my clients can thrive.
Taking the step to begin therapy takes courage, and I believe the relationship between therapist and client is the foundation of meaningful change. I'm Dr. Kimberlee Kaercher, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and founder of Lumax Counseling Services, LLC. I hold a Ph.D. in Forensic Psychology and a master's degree in counseling, and I have supported children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families across school and clinical settings. I provide a professional, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel genuinely understood. My background is somewhat unique and informs everything I do. Years of experience as an educator and special education teacher, along with my training in forensic psychology, have given me a deep understanding of behavior, development, trauma, and the many factors that shape a person's life. I bring that perspective into the therapy room with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care for the people I serve.
Whether you are working to strengthen your relationship, healing from trauma, managing anxiety or depression, facing the challenges of a cancer diagnosis, or simply feeling stuck, you don't have to face it alone. I would be glad to answer any questions you may have and to talk with you about how we might work together. I look forward to hearing from you and supporting you on the path toward healing and growth.

I have been working in the mental health field since 2013. I got my first masters degree in psychology in 2013 and then completed my second masters degree of clinical mental health counseling in 2022. I have worked in many different settings within the mental health field but have found that getting to work one on one with people in the outpatient setting is the most rewarding.
Therapy is more than just a career for me, being connected to people and helping people is one of the most important parts of life. A lot of my work has integrated peoples' concerns with their diagnoses (such as borderline personality disorder, depression, anxiety, OCD, and PTSD) while addressing their struggles with different relationships (family, friends, partners, coworkers)
Taking the first step toward therapy takes courage and I'm honored to be part of that journey. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely safe and accepted, so we can do meaningful work together.
I specialize in Anxiety, ADHD, Depression, PTSD, Panic disorder and mood disorders. I also offer ADHD testing for children and adults online and in-person. I offer both medication management and therapy.
