I also work with clients who've been hurt by their church, their pastor, or their faith community - what many people now call "church hurt." This is a profoundly underserved area of care, and my training at Trinity Seminary means I'm not approaching it from the outside. I understand the language, the culture, and the specific kind of grief that comes with spiritual betrayal. She earned her MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Spring Arbor University in 2021 and her PMHNP Graduate Certificate from the University of Toledo in 2022. At NewHeart Mental Health and Wellness in Oak Harbor, Ohio, she delivers in person and remote outpatient psychiatry and addiction treatment for adults and children across the entire lifespan. She also provides inpatient psychiatric care at a behavioral health hospital.
