Besides, it doesn't hurt to get a little assistance on the way. I'm here to help you. Let me tell you something. Nothing is as remarkable as seeing positive change in my client! Helping you make even the smallest steps towards your goal every day brings me joy and I make sure to let you know when I've noticed your progress. I work with clients of all ages facing a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges, including anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, mood difficulties, chronic stress, and major life transitions. Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside while quietly feeling exhausted, avoidant, or trapped by patterns they can’t seem to change. If something in your life isn’t working, therapy can help.

My approach is relational, client-centered, and trauma-informed, with with particular expertise in contemplative and somatic practices that I am happy to share with my clients in sessions. I am known for being warm, direct and affirming. I am a rostered CPP clinician, and I also have training and experience in CBT, CPT, DBT, EMDR, Exposure Therapy, MBSR, Seeking Safety, MI, SFT, TF-CBT, MATCH, Art Therapy and IFS.

If you’re ready to step out of survival mode and into a more intentional way of living, I’d be glad to work with you.

Matrescence, or the identity shift at the heart of becoming a mother, is a deep, confronting process. So much surfaces during this transition. Maybe you're feeling far away from yourself and unsure when the ground will steady itself again. Maybe old losses, traumas, and wounds are returning to you in new ways, or you're feeling lost in the forest of change. Maybe you feel far away from your partner and unsure how to find each other again. Maybe you're navigating pregnancy loss or fertility challenges, or struggling to decide if you want to become a parent at all.

I'm a psychodynamic therapist specializing in perinatal mental health, matrescence, and family of origin wounds, including trauma. I'm a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (T2574) and hold a Master of Arts in Marriage, Couple, & Family Therapy from Lewis & Clark College. I have formal training in perinatal mental health, and basic training in perinatal EMDR.

You're the one people call when things fall apart. You're good at it — steady, competent, the person who knows what to do. And somewhere along the way you stopped having anywhere to put your own stuff.

So you can run the meeting, hold the crisis, answer the phone at 2 a.m. — and still not be able to make yourself open the mail. Competence and collapse live together far more often than anyone admits out loud.

I work with adults carrying that particular load: substance use and recovery, emotions that arrive at full volume with no dimmer switch, thoughts of self-harm or not wanting to be here, and the specific erosion that comes from caring for other people for a living. Helpers, clinicians, parents, first responders — people whose exhaustion doesn't have an obvious place to go. I work with teenagers too, often the ones in families like these.

My style is direct, warm, and collaborative. I'm not going to nod quietly for fifty minutes. We'll find what's actually driving things, build skills you can use on a Tuesday afternoon when it counts, and I'll tell you honestly what I'm seeing. You set the pace. I'll bring the structure.
