I am a licensed professional counselor who is passionate about helping people feel understood, supported, and equipped to create meaningful change in their lives. My work is grounded in evidence-based practices, and I specialize in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, and challenges with anger or emotional regulation.
I strive to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are, without judgement. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply looking to better understand yourself, we'll work together at a pace that feels right for you. I value authenticity, collaboration, and building a strong therapeutic relationship, because real change happens when you feel safe and supported.
Do you often find yourself feeling empty – as if you float through your days going through the motions, rather than living an abundant and thriving life? Life can be difficult, and no matter how strong one may be mentally, there is only so much stress one can shoulder alone before it becomes too much. I believe in working together collaboratively in order to unlock one’s innate ability to self-heal. Through support and guided introspection, the answers to our troubles become self-evident.
Hello! I started out as a school social worker for 2 years. I then began school based therapy for another two years. I have been at my current position at a juvenile detention center since 2023 and I have loved everyone of my jobs in different ways.
I work with clients to help them achieve the goals they have established for themselves. Everyone goes through rough times and sometimes we need some extra support from an outside entity to help us get through those times!
Many people reach out for counseling when life feels heavier than usual—when relationships are strained, emotions feel harder to manage, or when they feel overwhelmed with grief. for more than a decade, I have been helping families and individuals of all ages to cope, process and navigate around these issues. My goal is to offer a space where you do not have to hold all of that alone.
Hi! I am Chardae Korhonen (She/Her) a licensed clinical social worker and relational therapist.
If you are reading this, I can imagine something in your life isn’t feeling quite right. Maybe you feel stuck or feel disconnected from yourself and the life you want to be living. Maybe you’re navigating hormonal changes—whether that’s PMS/PMDD, perimenopause, or menopause—working through the impact of trauma, navigating relationship challenges or simply exhausted from feeling like you’re constantly surviving instead of actually living.
I have been counseling people of all ages for 43 years. I begin with listening to your story. I not only want to hear it; I want to understand it as well. Sometimes, this mutual understanding alone is all that a client needs. During the intake process, I will ask you detailed questions to further understanding of your situation and issues you are dealing with right now. Next, we will work together to form a plan of action which will guide our sessions together, which typically last 45 – 50 minutes. This plan of action will focus on helping you, the client, work towards solving problems and issues that you present. Did I mention that takes work? Achieving understanding of issues and taking appropriate actions towards wellness both take time, concentration and energy.
