I was drawn into this profession from an early age, always curious about people, what they do, how they think, how they go about solving problems or getting stuck in them. Even when we do things well, we stumble over life's hurdles. It can feel overwhelming trying to find a way out or up or back. A listening heart and a supportive hand can be a big help finding our way again. With over 40 years of experience, I have worked with a wide range of people and concerns.
Hello, I’m Charles, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) dedicated to helping adults build healthier, more fulfilling lives. I work with individuals and couples facing anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, grief, relationship difficulties, self-esteem concerns, and major life transitions. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in trauma-informed care. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you can openly explore your experiences, gain insight into patterns that may be holding you back, and develop the tools needed to heal, grow, and move forward with confidence.
I am a down-to-earth, approachable therapist with over a decade of experience supporting teenagers, young adults, and their families. Many clients arrive hesitant about therapy but quickly find a comfortable, nonjudgmental space where they can talk about anything. I strive to be responsive to each person’s life experiences, including gender- and race-based toxic stress and trauma. I completed my training at Boston University and spent several years working with a multidisciplinary team at a safety-net hospital.
I am a therapist that has a passion for helping others break free from burdens. I believe our deepest secrets can be blockages to moving forward in life. My mission with every client is to create a space where they feel safe to be authentic, while learning ways to regain control of their lives. I am honored to support you in this journey you are getting ready to embark on and I am rooting for your success in the healing process. I am sending you well wishes and a safe space to chat.
