Hi, I’m Melanie. I’m a therapist, writer, and educator with a passion for helping Christian women move beyond anxiety, trauma, and overwhelming life experiences so they can live with greater peace and clarity. Many of the women I work with are thoughtful, faith-centered individuals who feel exhausted from trying to hold everything together while quietly carrying stress, worry, or past pain.
I earned a Doctor of Education in Community Care and Counseling with a trauma focus, along with a Master’s degree in Psychology and Counseling. My work is informed by trauma-informed care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness practices. For clients who desire it, I also integrate faith and spirituality into the healing process.
My approach is warm, thoughtful, and grounded. I believe therapy should feel like an OASIS — Open And Safe InSide— a place where you can slow down, be honest about what you’re carrying, and begin rebuilding a sense of peace, confidence, and direction.
Outside of therapy, I’m a writer, poet, and speaker who enjoys quiet moments with coffee, popcorn, and the occasional antique shop. Creativity, humor, and reflection are meaningful parts of my life and often influence the way I help clients explore their own stories.
Hi! I’m Brenda Nettey! I have a deep passion for walking alongside individuals on their healing journeys. I specialize in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, religion/spirituality, grief, self-esteem, and life transitions.
I am a great listener and all about understanding and fulfilling your goals.
Introduction
I have a passion for helping individuals and couples navigate their mental health journeys. I offer virtual therapy sessions, making it convenient for you to receive support from the comfort of your own space. Fluent in both English and Swahili.
I have been a Social Worker for almost 10 years and have had a variety of experiences during that time. Most of my work is with children and families. I graduated with my Masters from West Virginia University and have been a Clinical Social Worker since 2023.
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor licensed in Maryland and Pennsylvania and nationally certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I believe therapy is a collaborative partnership built on trust, support, and mutual respect. My approach centers on balancing acceptance and change—meeting you where you are without judgment while helping you challenge unhealthy patterns, build new skills, and grow. Together, we will work toward meaningful change and creating a life worth living.
Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy spending time outdoors, riding my horses, and being with my family. These activities help me stay grounded and connected to what matters most in life. I value balance, authenticity, and meaningful relationships, and I bring those same values into my work with clients. I strive to create a welcoming, supportive environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves and working toward their goals.
I am passionate about mental health and always finding ways to break stigmas. I love helping my clients tune into their inner wisdom.
Kim Prager, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker/Therapist, studied and trained at University of Wisconsin-Madison. She believes therapy is a place to be seen and heard and an opportunity for personal growth. Her approach is holistic and trauma informed, often with a focus on adjustment, interpersonal dynamics, grief, and loss.
She welcomes you to reach out to find a way to live more authentically, forge genuine connections, and prioritize value based goals that bring about positive change in your life.
Mental health care should feel approachable, not overwhelming. I'm a board-certified psychiatric provider in Maryland, and my practice centers on creating a space where patients feel genuinely heard and supported. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, and PTSD, bringing a warm, energetic, and direct style to every session. My aim is to help you understand what you're experiencing and take concrete steps forward, because progress is possible and you don't have to figure it out alone.
