In addition, I am a licensed clinical alcohol and drug counselor (LCADC) in Maryland, and a national certified counselor (NCC). I have over 20 years of professional and clinical work experience. I have extensive experience working in different clinical settings over the years. I have experience in helping individuals with substance use issues and disorders, anxiety, family conflicts, bipolar disorder, & depression, including issues of faith and spirituality in wellness.

With over twenty-seven years of diverse nursing experience, particularly in Emergency Room and Mental Health settings, such as St. Elizabeth Hospital, Providence Hospital, and the Psychiatric Institute of Washington. These positions have equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of both clinical excellence and operational efficiency.

I work with adults and teens who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally drained. They may be struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood changes, trauma, or life stress and feel stuck despite trying to cope alone. Others seek clarity around symptoms or support during major life transitions. Children and adolescents may struggle with emotional regulation, attention, mood changes, or behavioral concerns. Mrs Zainab is skilled in psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, crisis intervention, and care coordination, and works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes for clients. Committed to advancing mental health equity, she also advocates for community-based solutions, mental health education, and stigma reduction.

She currently practices with United healthcare Washington DC and TRIPLEZEES BEHAVIORAL HEALTH LLC and holds a BSN and MSN, bringing a blend of clinical expertise, cultural sensitivity, and genuine empathy to every therapeutic encounter.

My intention is to provide a judgment-free space where we can talk about what is going on and collaborate to move forwards in the best way possible. I am flexible in my approach to counseling, and I tailor my counseling style based on the needs of each person I work with.
