I help adults navigate anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, stress, and the effects of trauma so they can feel more balanced, confident, and in control of their lives. If you feel overwhelmed, stuck, or like the patterns in your life are no longer working, therapy can help you gain clarity, recognize your strengths, and create meaningful change. You don’t have to figure it all out alone.
I'm Dr. Onyeisi Stephen Ogbomeh (Dr. Og), a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC), and U.S. Army veteran with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). I provide compassionate, evidence-based virtual psychiatric care for patients of all ages across Illinois, Texas, and Wisconsin.
My journey is one of resilience. Born into poverty in Nigeria, I worked as a bus conductor and construction laborer as a child to help my family survive. In 2007, I won the U.S. Visa Lottery and arrived in America with little more than hope. I started my healthcare career as a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked relentlessly to earn my DNP and multiple board certifications — all while maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA.
I served as an Active Duty Family Nurse Practitioner in the U.S. Army, providing care to soldiers and their families. After my service, I faced my own mental health challenges — depression, anxiety, and PTSD. I'm currently in recovery and receiving treatment at my local VA hospital. This personal experience gives me a deep, lived understanding of what my patients go through, and it drives my commitment to providing the best evidence-based care available.
I specialize in anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and memory concerns. My approach combines comprehensive evaluation, medication management, and ongoing support — all tailored to your unique needs. I believe healing happens through partnership, and I'm here to support your mental health journey with compassion, expertise, and respect.
You deserve to feel heard. Let's work together toward lasting wellness.
I believe therapy is a safe space where clients feel heard and accepted for who they are. I approach clients with compassion, understanding, and without judgement. I recognize that everyone has unique experiences, needs, goals, and strengths. For me, building a genuine and trusting relationship is an important part of the therapeutic process. I want my clients to feel that they can be open and honest while knowing that I’m there to support them. I see therapy as a collaborative process, where we work together to identify goals, explore challenges, and find tools and strategies that can make life feel more manageable.
As a licensed clinical social worker, I've spent my career working alongside people
who've often felt unseen, underserved, or unsupported by the systems meant to help
them. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults in marginalized communities
navigating identity, mental health, relationships, and trauma. My approach is
grounded in genuine curiosity about who you are, not just what brings you in. You'll
find a space built on empathy and empowerment, where you can show up exactly as
you are. I'd love to connect.
You shouldn’t have to spend half of therapy explaining your disability, neurodivergence, or why certain things are harder for you than they might be for someone else. I’m a totally blind therapist, and I specialize in working with disabled and neurodivergent people. My approach is disability-affirming and neurodivergent-affirming, which means I’m not here to teach you how to mask better or treat parts of who you are as something that needs to be fixed. I want therapy to be a place where you can be yourself and feel understood. I also work with people dealing with anxiety, burnout, major life changes, difficult relationships, and complex family dynamics. A lot of my work focuses on things like boundaries, self-advocacy, confidence, emotional regulation, and figuring out how to navigate relationships or systems that don’t always understand your needs. I especially enjoy working with people who have spent a lot of their lives feeling misunderstood. I also work with parents and caregivers of disabled and neurodivergent children who are dealing with stress, advocacy, changing family roles, or simply trying to balance caring for someone else with taking care of themselves. My style is warm, straightforward, and collaborative. I’m not going to sit silently and expect you to figure everything out on your own. We’ll talk things through, look at what is and isn’t working, and find practical strategies that actually make sense for your life. Whether you’ve been disabled your whole life, are adjusting to a new diagnosis or disability, are trying to better understand your neurodivergence, or are dealing with complicated family or relationship dynamics, you don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out.
With more than 30 years of experience, I've helped individuals navigate anxiety, ADHD, trauma, and life's many transitions with compassion, understanding, and practical support.
I know reaching out for help isn't always easy. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to move toward greater confidence, healing, and peace of mind.
If you're struggling with addiction, carrying the weight of complex trauma, or trying to cope while managing a chronic health condition, I want you to know there's a way forward — and you don't have to walk it alone. I'm a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CADC) with over 16 years of experience across private practice, residential substance abuse treatment, medical social work, and the non-profit world. I've sat with people in their hardest, most overwhelming moments, and I bring that same steady, non-judgmental presence to every session.
Much of my work centers on substance use and recovery, complex trauma, and the emotional toll of chronic medical conditions. Whether you're in the thick of a crisis or finally ready to address something you've carried for years, I'll meet you exactly where you are — with compassion, real tools, and zero judgment.
Are you someone who has spent much of your life being strong for everyone else—caring for others, holding things together, and continuing to move forward even when you feel overwhelmed? Maybe somewhere along the way, you’ve lost touch with yourself or found yourself struggling with anxiety, depression, past trauma, grief, relationship challenges, or your own sense of self-worth.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who works with adults and adolescents to better understand the experiences, emotions, and patterns that may be affecting their lives and relationships. I believe meaningful healing begins with greater self-awareness and understanding. My approach is warm, compassionate, trauma-informed, and collaborative, while also providing the support and gentle challenge needed for growth. Together, we can work toward healthier boundaries, stronger relationships, greater self-worth, and lasting change that helps you feel more grounded, confident, and connected to the life you want to create.
Welcome! I’m a passionate and dedicated Licensed Social Worker with over 15 years of experience supporting both youth and adults on their paths to healing. My focus lies in helping individuals navigate trauma, overcome anxiety disorders, and improve emotional well-being through child therapy and trauma-focused interventions.
I love doing this work. I have 15+ years of experience supporting clients healing from dysfunctional families & relationships. I believe a therapist should, "Know all the theories, master all the techniques, but as you touch a human soul be just another human soul." I’d be honored to help you cultivate a system of care that honors your unique needs, personality, and relationships.
I believe mental health care works best when it is collaborative, respectful, and personalized.
As an independently licensed professional counselor, counselor educator, and supervisor, I believe that everyone deserves a space where they can feel heard, supported, and accepted. I've been practicing for 15 years and hold a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, a doctorate in Counselor Education, and a Fellowship in Thanatology with specialized expertise in grief and loss. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and someone with AuDHD, I bring both professional knowledge and lived experience to my work. My goal is to create a warm, affirming environment where you can show up as your authentic self and move toward meaningful change.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space where you can show up as your full, authentic self. I have nearly 7 years of experience working with adults navigating a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, burnout, and relationship concerns. I specialize in Motivational Interviewing and Strengths-based approaches. I am calm, caring and open-minded.
I’m a therapist who helps adults navigate anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance abuse disorders with zero judgment and plenty of heart. My style blends authentic humor with practical, solution-focused steps so you can make progress that actually fits your daily life. Wherever you are on your journey, we’ll tackle the hard stuff together and build a clear path toward feeling like yourself again.
