Dr. Idowu Oshokoya DNP is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Chicago, IL. Ola Omoniyi became an Illinois Certified Nurse Practitioner in 2021. She received her undergraduate degree at Valparaiso University in Indiana and her master’s degree from the University of St. Francis in Joliet. She completed her clinical rotation in mental health at Will County Behavioral Health in Joliet. Ola worked at Rush University Medical Centre for 5 years in the behavioral health unit as a Registered Nurse and 5years at other behavioral health hospitals in Chicago.

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with nearly two decades of experience in healthcare. I earned my Masters in Nursing at Walden University. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to care for individuals in psychiatric, emergency, surgical, inpatient, outpatient, and forensic settings. These experiences have shaped my belief that mental health and physical health are deeply connected and that each person deserves care that considers the whole individual.

I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, and ongoing mental health support. I have experience working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma and PTSD, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, and other behavioral health concerns

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over ten years of experience, working with adults and couples in individual therapy. I draw from Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to support clients facing ADHD, anxiety, depression, domestic violence, grief and loss, self injury, spirituality, substance use, and trauma or PTSD.
