Welina, to my practice, To Healing With Joy Always L.L.C. (THWJALLC) THWJA L.L.C. is operated by one Licensed Clinical Social Worker who finds added value in human connection during challenging times in life that a therapeutic lens can add to the support of each client.
Aloha, I'm Jackie, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), with over 15 years experience in the field of social work, who believes that therapy should be a safe, compassionate space where you can be honest about what you’re experiencing without fear of judgment. I work with teen and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and concerns related to self-worth and empowerment. I have a particular interest in supporting women as they navigate difficult seasons, personal growth, and major life changes.
Aloha and welcome! Do you feel like you’re constantly carrying the weight of your past, or perhaps you’re struggling to navigate a difficult life transition? It can be exhausting to feel "stuck" in cycles of anxiety or trauma. I believe that you deserve a space where you feel truly seen and heard. Together, we will work to peel back the layers of these challenges, helping you find clarity and relief. My goal is to help you reconnect with your inner strength so you can move forward with a sense of peace and purpose. You don't have to carry this alone anymore.
My communication style is nonjudgmental, authentic, and grounded in honesty, empathy, and respect. I believe that meaningful therapeutic work happens when clients feel safe enough to be themselves and know they will be met with understanding rather than criticism. My goal is to create a space where you can openly explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences while feeling genuinely supported throughout the process.
I take a holistic approach to therapy and believe it is important to understand the whole person, not just the challenges that bring them to treatment. Together, we may explore areas such as work-life balance, childhood experiences, relationships, physical health and well-being, cultural influences, personal values, and future goals. By considering the many factors that shape your life, we can develop a deeper understanding of your experiences and create a path toward meaningful, lasting growth.
I strive to balance compassion with honesty, offering both support and thoughtful feedback when appropriate. My goal is to help you gain insight, strengthen self-awareness, and make choices that align with the life you want to create.

Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, and finding the right therapist matters. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and understood.
I'm someone who values change, growth, and new experiences, which is what brought me from Connecticut to Hawaii several years ago. I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Connecticut (UCONN) in 2016, building upon a Bachelor of Science in Social Work with a Psychology minor. My career has included working at Yale New Haven Hospital in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) and with individuals living with severe mental illness across geriatric, adolescent, and adult psychiatric units. I have also provided hospice support for individuals and families navigating palliative care and end-of-life concerns. Currently, I work as an outpatient Clinician supporting mental health for Veterans.
I became a therapist because I have a genuine desire to help people. I have appreciated having the opportunity to help individuals move toward relief, gain clarity, recognize their strengths and navigate life transitions with greater confidence and support.
