I have been a therapist for over 25 years, both in the private outpatient setting as well as in community mental health and in home family/individual therapy. I grew up in North Carolina and graduated in 1989 with an undergraduate degree in Psychology. I graduated in 1993 with my Masters of Education in Clinical Counseling from the The Citadel-Military College of South Carolina. For my licensure as a professional counselor, I was trained in community mental health and in home therapy. I have been licensed in Virginia, Texas and now Georgia.
I accept adolescents from ages 12 and up, as well as adults. I am knowledgeable in areas of anxiety, depression/mood disorders, relationship issues between parent and child, ADHD, anger mgmt, PTSD, grief, and trauma.
I believe everyone has a unique story and deserves an individualized approach to care. Once we decide to work together, we’ll act as partners in your therapeutic journey. I am a licensed professional counselor licensed in Georgia with over 10 years of experience working as a therapist for many different age groups. I served in the U.S. Army for 20 years before retiring. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including PTSD, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD and ADHD. I have helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
