I seek to help clients feel confident in their ability to make choices, learn healthy communication skills, and strengthen their relationships with others.
I have 30 years experience working with adults (ages 20-90+), adolescents, families, and couples. I have my master's degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado, Boulder and I obtained my license as a Professional Counselor in 1996.
"What matters more than what you know is how much you care" is a phrase I took with me from one of my professors in Grad School. I believe that statement embodies who I am and what I bring to the practice - lots of care! With that said, I have been in practice either working in both alternative and traditional high schools, as a school-based therapist in a facility school for students with special needs, and/or in the private setting since 2016. I have worked with a wide range of ages and populations, not just kids/teens but adults too! My experience includes helping those struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, divorce/parenting/blended families, grief/loss, sexual abuse and other traumas, autism, intellectual disabilities with co-occurring mental health diagnoses, immigration issues, and even college/career counseling. I really enjoy working with all ages! I was a double major at University of Northern Colorado, studying both School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health. I completed all of the coursework for both tracks and the School Counseling internship, graduating in May 2017.

I’m a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a background that spans mental health, geriatrics, home health, intensive care, and long-term rehabilitation. My personality is open, honest, and direct—I believe transparency builds trust. With over a decade of hands-on nursing experience and recent advanced training in psychopharmacology and CBT, I bring both empathy and expertise to our work together. My clients can count on clear communication, collaborative care, and a deep commitment to helping them thrive.
I am a compassionate, open-minded therapist who values direct communication and builds genuine connections through honesty. I work effectively with teens and adults navigating identity, life transitions, anxiety, depression, and trauma.
Hi! My name is Sophie. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and, most importantly, a mom of three. My personal and professional experiences have shaped the way I understand how complicated life can be, especially when things don’t go the way we expected.
I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and started my career at Children’s Hospital Colorado, where I spent several years working with children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental differences and complex behavioral and emotional needs in an inpatient setting. I later trained in grief counseling through Judi’s House and spent the last six years of my career in the nonprofit sector supporting children and families through many different challenges, transitions, and seasons of life.
I work with clients around grief and loss, parenting, complex medical diagnoses, attachment, trauma, and the many transitions that come with life and family. As a mom of a medically complex child, I also understand personally how overwhelming, exhausting, and sometimes isolating it can feel to navigate medical and developmental challenges while still trying to be a parent, partner, and person.
My approach is primarily person-centered. I believe you know yourself and your life better than anyone, and my job is to meet you where you are. I also take a holistic approach and pull from different therapeutic approaches and modalities depending on what feels most helpful for you.
I believe life is messy. Sometimes we just need someone to sit with us in the mess. Sometimes we need help making sense of it. And sometimes, when we’re ready, we can start sorting through the mess together and figure out what comes next. I want therapy to be a place where you don’t have to have everything figured out before you walk through the door. You can come exactly as you are, and we’ll start there.
Hi there, I'm Molly. It takes courage to make changes in your life, and I'm here to support you on this journey. You are at a turning point, taking a step in a positive direction, and that’s something to be proud of. Often, when we find ourselves at the doorstep of a therapist, we know things need to change, but we might not know how to change them or where to start. My approach to therapy is a bit different. I like to focus on the totality of why you have come to therapy. We tend to seek out a therapist when something or someone has triggered us and shaken our foundation. The question is, what's the trigger? What's happening?
I’m Gloria, a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and self-esteem concerns. I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming, so I strive to create a warm, supportive space where you can feel comfortable being yourself.
My experience includes working with individuals experiencing PTSD, anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, and the effects of trauma and major life changes. I especially enjoy helping clients better understand the patterns affecting their lives, develop healthier ways of coping, and build confidence in themselves and their decisions. I provide therapy in both English and Spanish.

Find the right therapist for you
Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Factors to Consider When Choosing a Therapist in Colorado
Searching for therapists in Colorado means choosing from a wide range of licensed therapists across urban, suburban, and rural areas. Your options may vary depending on where you live, what kind of support you want, and whether you prefer in-person or virtual care. If you’re looking for help with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, grief, or life transitions, start by looking for a therapist whose listed specialties match your needs. Provider bios can also show whether a therapist uses approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, or acceptance and commitment therapy.
Location and scheduling matter when comparing Colorado therapists. Someone in Denver may have access to many nearby offices, while someone in Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, or a mountain or rural community may want to include virtual sessions in their search. Some people prefer meeting in a therapist’s office, while others choose virtual appointments for more flexibility. As you narrow your options, review whether each therapist is accepting new patients, offers appointment times that fit your schedule, and provides a free phone consultation. Reading profiles before booking can help you understand communication style, session structure, and what to expect in the first appointment.
The cost of therapy in Colorado can be a significant investment without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and understand what you may pay before care begins. Headway helps by verifying your insurance, showing estimated out-of-pocket costs before you book, and connecting you with licensed therapists who are accepting new patients. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans, and you can confirm coverage for your location and plan as you search — making it easier to find a therapist who matches your needs, accepts your insurance, and has availability.
