I’m Kaylee Torno, MA, LPC, NCC, and the founder of WayForward Counseling & Consulting. I hold a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from the University of Denver and have over a decade of experience supporting individuals and families as a licensed therapist and professional school counselor.
I specialize in working with teens (ages 16+), young adults, and adults who are navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and emotional overwhelm. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, or unsure of their next steps. My goal is to offer a compassionate, down-to-earth space where you can feel supported as you better understand yourself, build coping tools, and begin finding your way forward.
Hi, I’m Laura and I specialize in helping women and teens heal from trauma, whether it shows up as anxiety, overthinking, people-pleasing, or feeling completely disconnected from themselves. I experienced trauma growing up and know firsthand how it impacts the whole body.
Through Somatic therapy, Brainspotting, and EMDR, I help clients release what’s stuck in their bodies and rebuild trust in themselves—because healing isn’t about “getting over it,” it’s about feeling safe again.
Our life experiences are layered and complex. My goal is to provide a safe, authentic, and supportive space for you to explore these experiences, create deeper emotional connections, and develop practical skills that facilitate clarity and change. With the use of integrated and insight-building strategies, we will weave together self-awareness and self-acceptance with effective and functional skills, enabling you to create real, lasting changes and lead a more balanced and fulfilled life.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, integrative, and tailored to the needs of each client. My specialties include anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress management, relationship concerns, career issues, and work/life balance.
I have a passion for helping adults, couples, and families enrich their mental health and overall wellness. Schedule a free consultation call with me today - I look forward to connecting with you!

I was born and raised in Cincinnati, OH and hold a Master degree from Xavier University. You can expect a safe and comfortable environment as we dialogue to help you sort through emotions. My goal is to provide you with a safe, emotional space where you will feel comfortable, relaxed and know that you are being heard. I want you to be able to express yourself freely without any fear of judgement. Healing takes place when you are able to be open, honest and vulnerable. Throughout my practice, it has been an honor to help facilitate extraordinary transformation in the lives of my clients. Believe me when I say that, “Anything is possible,” as I have witnessed my clients overcome trauma, grief, depression, anxiety and hardcore drug addiction.
Often, our feelings of shame, hurt and fear rob us of the opportunity to experience true joy and fulfillment in our lives. Do you find yourself running from these feelings or always fighting against them? Instead, I can help you embrace them and work through them. It is through this process of transformation where you learn to find acceptance, meaning
and purpose in your life. This leads to living with self-authenticity, and this is when you experience true joy and fulfillment. I look forward to being your catalyst for change. Together, we will take this journey and progress at your own pace. I encourage you to take the first step and make an appointment. Your life is worth it!
