Hello! I’m Amy Monreal, a therapist dedicated to helping individuals and couples find healing and connection. Maybe you are in a relationship where conflict is difficult to navigate, and you feel stuck in patterns that leave you feeling frustrated and alone. It can be hard to navigate these patterns on our own. I believe every person deserves healing and relationships that are safe, supportive, and loving.
I’m a licensed clinical psychologist with nearly a decade of experience. I specialize in treating people with anxiety, ADHD, and insomnia, and parenting concerns.
I'm originally from the East Coast and moved to Denver to earn my MA and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Denver. I completed my APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at the Mental Health Center of Denver (now called WellPower), where I provided crisis support, psychotherapy, and psychological assessments.
Since then, I’ve found my passion in growing my own private practice (Evergrow Therapy & Assessment), where I work with clients across the lifespan to support their growth, balance, and well-being.
I earned my doctorate degree in clinical psychology from the University of Denver and have been in private practice for over ten years. I consider it an honor to be in relationship with my clients and to help them better understand themselves and change their lives. I strive to celebrate and create a safe space for all aspects of your identity.

Factors to Consider When Choosing a Mental Health Therapist in Boulder, CO
Searching for therapists in Boulder starts with knowing what kind of support you want. People often look for therapy for anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship challenges, grief, trauma, or life transitions. As you compare Boulder therapists, look for someone whose listed specialties, training, and approach match your needs. Provider bios can help you see whether a therapist focuses on methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, or trauma-informed care.
Boulder is a smaller market, so local in-person options may be more limited depending on your schedule, neighborhood, and preferences. Virtual therapy can expand your choices while still connecting you with a therapist licensed in Colorado. As you narrow your search, consider appointment availability, whether the therapist is accepting new patients, session format, and whether a free phone consultation is offered. Reading profiles before booking can also show how a therapist describes their communication style, session structure, and areas of focus.
Therapy in Boulder can be a significant investment without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and understand what you may pay before care begins. Headway helps you search for therapists who accept a wide range of insurance plans, verify your benefits, and see an estimated out-of-pocket cost before you book. You can review bios, compare availability, and book directly when you’re ready.
