Introduction
I primarily use a cognitive behavioral approach. My focus area of practice is helping clients improve their lives and find meaningful change.
My communication style
My sessions are calm, collegial, interactive, respectful, directive, and helpful.
How I help clients reach goals
Change does not necessarily take a long time. We're 'shooting for the moon' right away. What's the worst that could happen?
My journey to becoming a provider
Helping others help themselves is an absolute privilege! I'd pay them to do this work (but please don't tell them that.) How did I get here? It's a long story. I originally went to college to be a journalist, but changed to broadcasting. Dumb. I needed to jumpstart my life, so I changed to this profession. Talk about purpose and meaning!
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in California. I graduated from Alliant International University and have 12 years of experience in treatment settings ranging from residential care to routine outpatient care, treating self-harm, addiction, PTSD, anxiety, depression, relation and family conflict, life adjustments and more.
I am a therapist dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey toward self-understanding, emotional well-being, and personal growth. I believe that every person has the inner strength and resilience to overcome life’s challenges. My role is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
Hi, welcome to my practice. I support individuals, couples, and families through the complexities of life transitions. Whether you're adjusting to a new relationship, navigating parenting challenges, or facing unexpected life changes, I offer a safe, supportive space to help you reconnect with yourself and your relationships. I have over 30 years of experience as a licensed therapist and more than three decades leading personal growth workshops
I have been working in tele-mental health for the past 3 years and love it. Prior to this, I worked with troubled adolescents and men and women in incarcerated settings. I deeply enjoy providing emotional support and understanding to those who are suffering from a variety of life issues and emotional difficulties. I also enjoy treating anxious clients and those with trauma in need of processing.
I have always had a deeply empathetic nature, a curious spirit, and a lifelong desire to help others. I began my journey by earning a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy at Philip’s Graduate University. I completed my training in a variety of settings, including a community counseling center; a substance abuse treatment facility, treating a dual-diagnosis, forensic population; and a foster care placement facility.
