Hello, my name is Nia Grant, and I provide counseling services to individuals and couples dealing with mental health concerns and common life stressors. I have been independently licensed for 16 years, and I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings with various populations. I have always been empathetic and able to see things from the perspective of others. I also have the ability to meet people where they are. So, I obtained a BA degree in Psychology in 2003 and a MA in Professional Counseling in 2005. I became independently licensed in 2009 and in practice ever since.
I work with individuals and couples to overcome spiritual and self-esteem issues, change unhealthy patterns, improve relationships, and find healthy ways to cope with the pain of the past, the present and the future. I utilize an integrative approach, drawing upon a variety of orientations including a trauma-informed perspective, psychodynamic approach, solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based interventions. Through self-exploration, we can work to remain in the present moment, get back into the body, shift limiting beliefs and identify a fresh perspective that aligns with your inner-most goals and values.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and approved Clinical Supervisor in Arizona with experience across outpatient therapy, crisis and inpatient services, correctional behavioral health, clinical leadership, and statewide behavioral health systems. I am also pursuing my Doctorate in Behavioral Health.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, depression, stress, major life transitions, and periods of just feeling stuck or disconnected. My background allows be to bring both clinical experience and a broader understanding of how life circumstances, relationships, and systems effect emotional well-being.
I have worked and lived in many different environments and strive hard to bring evidence based practice balanced with practice wisdom into the lives of everyone I meet. 28+ years in the mental health field with a specialization in trauma, family systems, and military mental health. Undergraduate in Psychology and Graduate degrees MSW and DSW. Certified in multiple evidence base modalities and able to formulate a customized treatment plan to meet you where you're at. An AI review of this profile might say that I am boring and lacking in personality due to the black and white words typed into these boxes. But I can assure you that beyond what you read here, meeting with me in person will be a much more human experience and we will figure out if this therapeutic relationship is one that you can choose to improve yourself.
Hello! I'm Brigett and I'm accepting new clients.
Taking the first step toward healing can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to walk this path alone. I am a dedicated therapist passionate about helping individuals process trauma, navigate complex emotions, and reclaim their inner strength. In our work together, we won’t just talk about what’s happening in your mind—we will look at the whole picture. I specialize in nervous system regulation, helping you move out of constant survival mode (like feeling perpetually anxious, overwhelmed, or shut down) and back into a state of safety and balance.
My goal is to create a warm, collaborative, and entirely judgment-free space where you feel truly heard. Together, we will uncover the why behind your patterns, giving you the insights and practical tools you need to feel deeply empowered and connected to your true self.
How we can connect: I currently offer flexible, convenient virtual sessions so you can begin your healing journey from the comfort of your home. Starting in July, I will be welcoming clients for in-person sessions [Phoenix @ Northern/51] on Fridays.
Wherever you are starting from today, please know that healing is possible, and you are entirely capable of it. I look forward to supporting you.
