If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in your thoughts, or carrying stress that just won’t seem to let up, you’re not alone. You might look like you’re holding everything together on the outside, but inside it feels heavy, exhausting, or unclear how to move forward. Therapy can be a place where you finally feel heard — without judgment.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Many of my clients come in unsure of why they feel the way they do, or frustrated that things haven’t changed despite their efforts. I am a trauma-informed therapist with extensive experience helping individuals heal from anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. I believe people deserve results therefore I use evidence-based approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotion focused therapy (EFT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I also do trauma processing using Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) which is an innovative approach to EMDR that produces lasting change in 1-3 sessions.

Find the right therapist for you
Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Factors to Consider When Choosing a Therapist in Scottsdale
Searching for therapists in Scottsdale starts with finding someone whose training matches what you want support with. Scottsdale therapists may work with concerns like anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief, trauma, work stress, and life transitions. As you compare options, look for a therapist who lists specialties, approaches, or populations that fit your needs. A bio that mentions cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, trauma-informed care, couples therapy, or experience with specific concerns can help you understand how that therapist may work with you.
Scottsdale offers a strong mix of local and virtual therapy options across areas like Old Town, McCormick Ranch, and Gainey Ranch, while nearby Phoenix can add more choice for people open to a wider search. Some people prefer in-person sessions near home or work, while others choose virtual therapy for more scheduling options. Beyond specialty, consider appointment availability, whether the therapist is accepting new patients, session format, and whether a free phone consultation is offered. Reading therapist profiles before booking can help you compare communication style, approach, and what to expect in a first session.
Therapy in Scottsdale can be a significant expense without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and understand what you may pay before care begins. Headway helps you search for a Scottsdale therapist who matches your preferences, may accept your insurance, and is accepting new patients. You can review detailed profiles, see estimated out-of-pocket costs before booking, and schedule directly when you are ready.
If you're experiencing or worried about violence, threats, or coercion in your relationship, couples therapy isn't usually the right starting point — individual support is safer. The National Domestic Violence Hotline (1-800-799-7233, or text START to 88788\) can help you think through next steps.
