Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, I completed my medical training at NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine. As an osteopathic physician, I practice with a holistic lens—integrating mind, body, and spirit—and value personalized, relational, and evidence-based care. I completed my psychiatric residency at St. Elizabeths Hospital in Washington, DC, a forensic psychiatric hospital often referred to as “the ICU of psychiatry” for its work with individuals facing chronic, treatment-resistant conditions. After residency, I spent three years in outpatient psychiatry within large corporate settings and ultimately transitioned to an eating-disorder hospital, seeking work aligned with depth, integrity, and true patient-centered care.
As a first-generation Ukrainian Jew and a native Russian speaker, I hold lived experience with immigration, intergenerational trauma, and cultural stigma surrounding mental health. This background informs my compassion, humility, and commitment to meeting patients where they are.
The past is a good place to visit but certainly not a place to stay

Find the right psychiatrist for you
Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Factors to Consider When Choosing a Therapist in Colorado Springs
Finding psychiatrists in Colorado Springs starts with knowing what kind of mental health care fits your needs. Psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners can diagnose mental health conditions and prescribe medication, while therapists provide talk therapy. Medication management often includes reviewing symptoms, discussing how care is going, and adjusting the care plan when clinically appropriate. If you’re looking for support with anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, or obsessive-compulsive disorder, review each psychiatrist’s listed specialties, training, and approach before booking.
Colorado Springs offers a range of psychiatry options, with access across areas like Old North End, Manitou Springs, Widefield, and nearby communities. In-person care may be useful if you prefer a local office, while virtual appointments can make it easier to fit psychiatry into your schedule. Psychiatry visits for medication management are often shorter and less frequent than therapy sessions. Some psychiatrists also offer therapy, and some people work with both a therapist and a prescriber. As you compare options, look at appointment availability, whether the psychiatrist is accepting new patients, and what each bio says about communication style and care structure.
Psychiatric care in Colorado Springs can be a significant expense without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and understand what you may pay before care begins. Headway helps you find psychiatrists who are accepting new patients, and nationally, Headway partners with a wide range of insurance plans. You can check your specific plan details on Headway to confirm coverage in Colorado Springs. You can enter your insurance details, see estimated out-of-pocket costs, review psychiatrist bios, and book directly when you’re ready.
If you're already taking psychiatric medication and considering switching providers, talk to your current prescriber before changing or stopping any medication — most psychiatric medications shouldn't be stopped abruptly. Anyone experiencing thoughts of self-harm or in acute crisis should call 988 or go to the nearest emergency department rather than wait for an outpatient appointment.
