Hi, I'm Jana Sackett, MSN, PMHNP-BC, an adult psychiatric nurse practitioner treating patients across California by video. I came to psychiatry after more than a decade in emergency nursing, where I learned how often a psychiatric presentation has a medical driver underneath it, so I look at the whole clinical picture, not the symptom in isolation.

I specialize in anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related symptoms, and major life stressors, and I'm particularly interested in how medication, supplementation, and daily structure interact — because for most people it is never only the prescription doing the work.

Your first evaluation is a full sixty minutes, you see me at every visit after it, and we track your progress with the same validated measures each time so we both know whether the plan is working.

Hi, I'm Mitch — a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Vanderbilt University. San Diego has been home since 2020, when the Navy first brought me here.

My background includes pediatrics at Children’s Hospital in St. Paul, inpatient psychiatry in Nashville and San Diego, crisis stabilization, and outpatient mental health care. I’ve worked with veterans, college students, LGBTQ+ individuals, people experiencing homelessness, and patients navigating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, trauma, substance use, and severe mental illness.

I primarily provide psychiatric evaluation and medication management while integrating supportive therapy, psychoeducation, and practical coping strategies into visits. My approach is collaborative, direct, and grounded in helping people improve day-to-day functioning and quality of life.

I'm Dr. Ben Osevwe, a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with more than 22 years of experience in mental health care, including over 4.5 years as a PMHNP. I founded Solid Foundation Psychiatry with one mission: to provide compassionate, evidence-based, and personalized psychiatric care that empowers individuals to live healthier, more fulfilling lives.

I work with adolescents and adults ages 12 through 90, providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy. I believe that effective mental health treatment goes beyond prescribing medication. Every visit is an opportunity to listen, educate, collaborate, and develop a treatment plan that reflects your unique goals, values, and life circumstances.
