Following the completion of my grant I attended New York University (NYU). From there I completed a residency at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas. Following this I entered and completed my doctorate at USD University of San Diego, California with a focus on digital telehealth treatment for psychiatric care. I work with Gen Z and Millennial adults facing anxiety, depression, trauma, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and more. Through integrative, culturally responsive care, I combine evidence-based psychiatry with holistic strategies to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered to create a life that aligns with your true self.

Find the right psychiatrist for you
Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Factors to Consider When Choosing a Psychiatrist in Newport Beach, CA
Finding psychiatrists in Newport Beach starts with understanding the type of mental health care you need. Psychiatrists and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners can diagnose mental health conditions, prescribe medication, and manage medication as part of care. Therapists provide talk therapy and may work with concerns like anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, and life transitions. Some people start with a therapist, some start with a prescriber, and some work with both. As you compare Newport Beach psychiatrists, look for training, listed specialties, and care focus that match what you want support with.
Newport Beach is a smaller local market, so nearby appointment options may vary by schedule, specialty, and office location. Virtual psychiatry can expand your choices across California, especially if you need appointment times that fit around work, school, or caregiving. Medication management appointments are often shorter and less frequent than therapy sessions, and some psychiatrists also offer therapy. Review profiles before booking to understand each psychiatrist’s approach, availability, session format, and whether a free phone consultation is offered.
Psychiatric care in Newport Beach can be a significant expense without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and understand your expected out-of-pocket cost before care begins. Headway helps you find psychiatrists who accept your plan and are accepting new patients. You can compare bios, confirm virtual or in-person availability, see your estimated cost upfront, and book directly when you’re ready.
If you're already taking psychiatric medication and considering switching providers, talk to your current prescriber before changing or stopping any medication — most psychiatric medications shouldn't be stopped abruptly. Anyone experiencing thoughts of self-harm or in acute crisis should call 988 or go to the nearest emergency department rather than wait for an outpatient appointment.
