I'm a bilingual therapist (English and Spanish) who came to Virginia from Bolivia in 2003. Before entering private practice, I spent years working in Child Protective Services and maternal health — systems that gave me an honest, on-the-ground understanding of what families face when life gets complicated. That experience still shapes how I show up for clients today: I'm not here to give you textbook answers. I'm here to sit with the real thing. I specialize in trauma, PTSD, anxiety, BPD, maternal mental health, and the kind of grief that doesn't fit on a sympathy card. I'm especially attuned to the unique pressures of immigration, cultural identity, and what it means to build a life in a country that wasn't your starting point. If you've ever felt like no one really gets the full picture of who you are, that's exactly the kind of space I try to create.
Deciding on a therapist can be a daunting experience; I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience. I provide psychotherapy services via video and phone sessions. Therefore, I focus my clinical practice on providing high-quality services and evidence-based interventions to my clients. I have a strong passion to help people, and truly believe in each individual’s strengths and abilities. Some of the treatment modalities used are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and a Strengths-Based approach in an unbiased and non judgmental manner. Thus allowing me to create the holding space my clients need.
I have realized that when we understand our strengths and have developed them we are able to improve and or have a better quality of life. Sometimes we do not understand that a crisis can affect many different areas in our life and recognizing and acknowledging it is the first step in our journey to healing.

My life and training lead me towards these challenges, my listed treatment areas, as well as self-judgement, relationship stress, pessimism, anger, life building, workaholism, & chronic pain.
