Hi, I'm Luke. I work with burned-out professionals, neurodivergent adults, LGBTQIA+ folx, and people navigating anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges — including healthcare workers and educators who spend their days caring for others but rarely turn that care inward. I use a trauma-informed, psychodynamic approach and bring my own lived experience as a queer and neurodivergent person to the work. I'm well-versed in non-monogamy, polyamory, and kink dynamics, and welcome clients who don't fit the mold of traditional therapy. I own and operate Radiant Waves Counseling and am licensed in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Texas.
I hold a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology from New York University and have experience working across a variety of settings, including outpatient counseling, community work, and crisis intervention.
My goal is to help my clients find a greater sense of purpose in life. My practice focuses on individual therapy for late teens, young adults, and middle-aged adults. If you are ready to set and achieve your personal goals, I am here to walk alongside you. I will provide you with a safe space to explore your thoughts, emotions and memories.
I will challenge the way you think, help you establish coping skills, teach you effective communication, and ultimately be the best version of yourself!
I want potential clients to know that I am a genuine person/ therapist. I will always be genuine and honest with you. I am very easy going, easy to talk with, and I believe one of my strengths is the ability to gain a client's trust- allowing the person to feel comfortable discussing any issue without fear of judgment. I have 25 years experience as a psychotherapist working with all ages from children to the elderly in correctional settings, substance abuse, and a university.
I've been providing counseling services for over 7 years. I started my career working with individuals mandated to receive mental health and addiction services. It has evolved to providing psychotherapy to adolescents, adults, families, and couples. My strongest skill is empathy. I understand that our experiences shape our perception, the relationship we have with ourselves and others. I will challenge you to address core issues while providing you a safe space to grow.
I am a dually licensed clinician with over seven years of experience working with the adult population, specializing in assisting individuals in identifying their best selves and achieving personalized goals to improve day-to-day life. I have a Masters Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and hold two licenses: Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
Emmanuel is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and has over 9 years of mental health nursing experience caring for patients across the lifespan. He graduated from Rutgers Univ. with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and earned his master’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson Univ. Emmanuel has worked in various mental health settings, including Hackensack Univ. Medical Center, Carrier Clinic, Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital, St. Claire’s Hospital and Genpsych.
I am curious and validating, providing a nurturing environment to talk openly and honestly about your struggles, strengths, weaknesses, needs, likes, and dislikes. I love helping people explore their unique and particular powers as well as how these powers impact their world and their relationships. As a passionate supporter of those who have been through unjust or otherwise traumatic experiences--including those experiencing discrimination based upon race or gender identity or sexual orientation--I am particularly interested in helping people gain skills for dealing with, and making sense of, the remnants of their pasts.
Having completed Bessel Van der Kolk's Trauma Research Foundation's Certificate in Traumatic Stress Studies in early 2025, I have a strong foundational understanding of the most cutting edge approaches to treating trauma. I am also comfortable using a combination of approaches, including Psychodynamic, Gestalt, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I received an MSW from the University of Pennsylvania, a psychodynamically focused program, after which I completed Bryn Mawr's certificate program in psychodynamic psychotherapy. I have also completed 1 year of Gestalt Therapy training and the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Immersion Program.
As an LCSW, my training emphasized the role of social environment--from the family to society at large--in how we construct our narratives, enabling me to help you make sense of what in your life is yours to own and what is a product of your environment.
