I hope they feel safe knowing I have 30 years in the field and will assist them in their journey with appropriate approaches to assist in reduction of symptoms and or learning more about who they are so they can navigate their life with better skills
Welcome to this courageous journey! That alone is an act of strength. You don’t have to walk this path alone. I’m here to walk beside you—as a steady companion—through the valleys and the victories, the questions and the breakthroughs. Together, we’ll create space for your story, your healing, and your becoming.
I hold an MA and PhD in Counseling Psychology from Boston College and Indiana State University, where I received extensive training in multiculturalism and trauma-informed care. Over the past years, I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of clinical settings—including university counseling centers and community mental health agencies—supporting individuals from all walks of life. I am a certified EMDR therapist and an approved consultant of the EMDRIA.

I received my Bachelor’s in Social Work from Oakland University and my Master’s in Social Work from Madonna University. I have been a practicing social worker for four years, and during this time have received several certifications including: school social work, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools. Based on my experience, I specialize in working with adolescents and children; however, I am confident in my education and ability to help clients of all ages.
Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to be here. I’ve been in practice for over 10 years, and throughout that time I’ve learned that healing looks different for everyone. My work is rooted in trauma-informed care, and I approach each person with curiosity, compassion, and deep respect for their lived experience.
You don’t have to go through things alone. I’m here to walk alongside you as you move toward greater clarity, healing, and self-connection.

Find the right therapist for you
Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Factors to Consider When Choosing a Mental Health Therapist in Ypsilanti
Searching for therapists in Ypsilanti starts with knowing what kind of support fits your needs. You may want care for anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, or stress. As you compare therapists, look for training and listed specialties that match what you want to work on. A therapist’s profile can also show their approach, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, trauma-informed care, or support for specific life stages.
Ypsilanti has a smaller local therapist market than nearby metro areas, so virtual appointments can expand your options while still keeping care with a therapist licensed in Michigan. You may prefer an in-person office near central Ypsilanti, the Depot District, Riverside, College Park, or another nearby area, or you may want the flexibility of virtual sessions from home. To narrow your search, compare appointment times, whether a therapist is accepting new clients, and whether they offer a free phone consultation. Reading bios before booking can help you understand how each therapist structures sessions and communicates with clients.
Therapy in Ypsilanti can be a significant investment without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to lower your out-of-pocket costs and make ongoing care easier to plan for. Headway helps you find therapists, check your insurance details to confirm coverage for your specific plan and location, see estimated session costs before you book, and choose from therapists who are accepting new patients. You can review profiles, compare availability, and book directly when you’re ready.
