I have worked in the Social Work field for about 10 years and found my specialty and passion in therapy. I am a compassionate and non-judgmental therapist who enjoys working one-on-one with individuals seeking help. I specialize in anxiety, depression, self-harm behaviors, trauma, family conflict, postpartum, and LGBTQ+ issues.
I’m a licensed therapist dedicated to helping individuals (children, teens, and adults) navigate anxiety, OCD, life transitions, and the emotional weight that can come with them. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices [such as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)], while also honoring your unique story and pace. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready to better understand yourself, we’ll work together to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
With over 20 years of experience, I've had the privilege of sitting with people through some of life's hardest chapters — and watching them find their way through. I'm Olja Haglund, a Licensed Master Social Worker based in Michigan. I work with adults only, and I bring a warm, direct presence to every session. I speak both English and Albanian fluently and welcome clients from Albanian-speaking communities across Michigan and beyond. I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions — so wherever you are in Michigan, we can make this work. My specialties include trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, codependency, and women's issues. I believe healing is possible for everyone, and I'm here to help you find your version of it.
I was born and raised in Michigan. I love the four seasons and all of the college and professional sport teams. Welcome! I'm Grace.
As a clinical social worker, I am passionate about helping people recognize the strengths they may not always see in themselves. Life can bring challenges that leave us feeling stuck, discouraged, or uncertain. Whether you're struggling with stress, relationship difficulties, life transitions, anxiety, or past experiences, you don't have to navigate those challenges alone.
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and a University of Michigan graduate, and my
area of expertise is co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Over the course of
my career, I have worked with individuals navigating addiction, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and
the complex challenges that arise when these conditions intersect. I believe that healing
happens in a space where you feel genuinely safe and understood, and I am committed to
providing exactly that. I would love to work alongside you as you move toward the life you
deserve.
I'm a Clinical Social Worker and Human Development Advocate specializing in emotional wellness, empowerment, and sustainable self-mastery. I bring calm authority and compassionate, evidence-based, trauma-informed care to every session.
If anxiety, mood swings, or overwhelming stress make it hard to function, you don't have to manage it alone. I support adults navigating anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, trauma, grief, family conflict, and major life transitions — helping you reduce symptoms, strengthen coping skills, and feel more steady, confident, and grounded in daily life. I offer individual and family therapy for adults.
I offer a judgment-free space where we can work together toward your mental health goals. In our work, we will not just talk through the problems, concerns, or challenges bringing you to therapy. We will also focus on practical tools that can help change how you experience those situations and support you in moving toward a healthier version of yourself. I use a blend of evidence-based treatment approaches that I tailor to each client’s unique needs and goals.
I earned my LMSW from Grand Valley State University and have 17 years of experience across a wide range of mental health settings, including outpatient care, the emergency department, inpatient treatment, and partial hospitalization, along with many other levels of care in between. My additional training includes trauma-informed care, suicide risk assessment and safety planning, and DBT. Clients can expect me to meet them where they are while being empowering, transparent, direct, and focused on helping them reach their treatment goals.
I've been a listener my whole life — since I was a teenager, long before I had any clinical training, I learned that the most powerful thing one person can do for another is to genuinely pay attention. That hasn't changed. What has changed is that now I have the tools, training, and experience to help that attention lead somewhere. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Michigan. I work with individuals, families, couples, and children — and I see clients across the state through telehealth. I'm trained in a range of approaches including CBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Bowen Family Systems, which means I can adapt to what actually fits you — not just apply a template. I'm also comfortable holding faith and spirituality as part of your story if that's relevant for you. I'm not a "Christian therapist" in a prescriptive sense, but I've spent years working as a chaplain and I understand how much a person's spiritual framework shapes how they see themselves and the world. That's a welcome part of the conversation here.
I am a Board-Certified Psychiatrist licensed in TN and MI and I offer a wide range of services including therapy and treatment for Major Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Anxiety disorders, PTSD and ADHD. I graduated from University of Pennsylvania and am a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and have 26 years of experience. I have worked in Inpatient and outpatient services having served patients in CMHC, and I am currently in Outpatient Private Practice.

Find the right therapist for you
Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Factors to Consider When Choosing a Mental Health Therapist in Grand Rapids, MI
Searching for therapists in Grand Rapids starts with knowing what kind of support fits your needs. Grand Rapids therapists may support concerns like anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief, trauma, stress, and life transitions. As you compare options, look for a therapist whose listed specialties, approach, and training match what you want to address. Provider bios can also help you understand whether someone uses approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, or trauma-informed care.
Grand Rapids has a strong local mental health care community, with therapists across neighborhoods like Eastown, Heritage Hill, Midtown, and nearby areas. Some people prefer in-person therapy near home, work, or school, while others choose virtual sessions for more scheduling flexibility. As you narrow your search, consider appointment availability, whether a therapist is accepting new patients, session format, and whether a free phone consultation is offered. Reading profiles before booking can help you compare communication style, clinical focus, and what to expect in a first session.
Therapy in Grand Rapids can be a significant investment without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and understand what you may pay before care begins. Headway helps you find therapists, see estimated out-of-pocket costs before booking, and choose from therapists who are accepting new patients. You can enter your insurance details on Headway to confirm what coverage is available in Grand Rapids.
