I’m Rasha, a licensed therapist with over eight years of experience in mental health, public health, and program leadership. My background includes working with adolescents, adults, and families across school-based, community, and clinical settings. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, life transitions, and concerns related to racial and ethnic identity.
My work is grounded in both clinical expertise and real-world understanding of how systemic stressors, culture, and environment impact mental health. I have extensive experience helping clients who appear high-functioning externally but feel overwhelmed, emotionally taxed, or disconnected internally.
Clients should know that I am direct, thoughtful, and deeply invested in meaningful growth. I will support you — but I will also challenge you when necessary. Therapy with me is not passive; it is intentional, reflective, and focused on helping you build sustainable change.
When anxiety, depression, ADHD, or shifting moods start affecting your relationships, your sleep, and how you feel about yourself, it can be hard to know where to start. I'm Moneak Parker, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Michigan, working with adolescents and adults through psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and personalized treatment planning. I support clients with anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, borderline personality, OCD, PTSD, panic disorders, sleep concerns, anger, and substance use. My goal is a space where you feel heard, respected, and genuinely in charge of your own care.
I offer a judgment-free space where we can work together toward your mental health goals. In our work, we will not just talk through the problems, concerns, or challenges bringing you to therapy. We will also focus on practical tools that can help change how you experience those situations and support you in moving toward a healthier version of yourself. I use a blend of evidence-based treatment approaches that I tailor to each client’s unique needs and goals.
I earned my LMSW from Grand Valley State University and have 17 years of experience across a wide range of mental health settings, including outpatient care, the emergency department, inpatient treatment, and partial hospitalization, along with many other levels of care in between. My additional training includes trauma-informed care, suicide risk assessment and safety planning, and DBT. Clients can expect me to meet them where they are while being empowering, transparent, direct, and focused on helping them reach their treatment goals.
My approach to therapy is to help you uncover what is blocking you from living your life to the fullest. I do not believe I hold all the answers; rather, I will assist you in discovering the answers to the problems you are facing through our counseling services. We will work together to find the best solutions to what is troubling you. I sincerely believe in listening to you fully and not judging you for how you feel or think.
Before becoming a counselor, I worked as a deputy sheriff, firefighter, EMT, 911 dispatcher, and U.S. Navy Reserve member. That background shapes how I show up in sessions: direct, practical, and without judgment. I pursued counseling because I found I was genuinely good at helping people feel better, and I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, relationships, grief, and difficult life decisions. If you have been waiting to talk to someone, I am glad you are here.
