Managing Bipolar I, Bipolar II, or cyclothymia requires specialized support. Headway's Lowell network of providers offers DBT skills, psychoeducation, and routine stabilization strategies to help you navigate mood instability and maintain emotional balance through both manic and depressive phases.
I’m Magenecka, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Science in Nursing and several years of nursing experience. I care for adults ages 18 and older throughout Massachusetts via telehealth, supporting concerns including anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and trauma-related symptoms. Whether you’re seeking support for the first time or looking for the right fit, you deserve to feel heard and welcomed without judgment. I believe your care should reflect who you are, not just your diagnosis.
I have worked in the field of psychology for over 25 years and hold two Master’s degrees as well as a PhD in Neuropsychology. I provide psychotherapy for individuals across the lifespan and specialize in the treatment of mood disorders, including anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
I also work with individuals who are navigating major life stressors such as divorce, career transitions, and other significant changes. In addition, I help clients address concerns related to anger management, chronic stress, and the psychological impact of health issues.
My goal is to support clients in developing effective coping strategies, gaining insight, and making meaningful changes that improve their overall well-being and quality of life.
I provide trauma-informed, affirming care grounded in CBT and DBT. I work with LGBTQ+ individuals, college and medical students navigating crisis and burnout, and clients facing emotion dysregulation, perinatal challenges, OCD, PTSD, and BPD. Passionate about serving marginalized communities, I bring a social justice lens to every session—creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore, grow, and build lasting resilience.
My hope is to walk alongside you as you navigate the struggles of life. We all need someone to walk with us as we cope with the stressors of life, loss, grief, pain, and mental health challenges. I am dedicated to helping you develop healthy and effective ways to navigate whatever you may be going through while providing a safe and supportive space to process your experiences. I have experience working with adults, children, and families in a variety of settings, including crisis services, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), substance use treatment facilities, and outpatient care. My goal is to meet you where you are, support you through difficult moments, and help you develop the skills and confidence to move forward.
I have a unique professional background that includes working extensively with refugee and immigrant populations in a variety of settings, community based work serving youth, and crisis response. I grew up outside of San Francisco and moved around from state to state until I ended up in Boston. The diversity of my experiences and environments have shown me as much about the complexity of people as it has the beautiful simplicity that everyone shares a need (and deserves!) to be listened to, believed in, and safe to express how they feel.
I’m a licensed therapist who believes therapy should feel supportive, collaborative, and real. I work with adults navigating anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, and self-esteem issues, with a focus on helping you feel more grounded and confident in your day-to-day life. My approach is practical and compassionate—I help you understand patterns, build coping skills, and make changes that fit your life. Most importantly, I aim to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and never judged.
