I earned my degree in psychology, and a gap year with Jesuit Volunteer Corps in a social justice setting led me to social work. I use a systems approach, meaning I look at the personal, family, and life factors affecting your well-being. My background in foster care, crisis work, community-based care, and therapy gives me a collaborative, well-rounded perspective.
- I have been a licensed psychologist since 2007. I have advanced training in eating disorders, PTSD, and suicide prevention. I also have knowledge and a great deal of experience in many different areas, including depression, anxiety, panic attacks, Bipolar Disorder, ADHD, etc. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. I generally use behavioral, cognitive-behavioral (CBT) and interpersonal modalities in therapy. I was in private practice from 2007-2015 and then worked full-time for the Veterans' Administration (VA) for almost ten years. I have recently transitioned back to private practice. I have been doing only telehealth for the past five years. I must admit that I was skeptical about telehealth at first, but have been absolutely amazed at how effective it is.

Some people experience fear that holds them back. Others are so weighed down by the complexities of life that it feels like there is not enough energy to do anything. Over time, they shift further and further away from the person that they know they can be, but they feel like they’ve already tried everything and feel stuck. If you can resonate, the bravest thing you can do is reach out. We all have core beliefs that define how we see ourselves and the world. These beliefs have huge implications for our emotional, behavioral, and relational patterns. Some are positive and helpful, and others are fear-based and limiting.
I help people gain awareness of their limiting core beliefs so they can actively reframe them, if necessary, into more beneficial and realistic beliefs. Together, we can explore the internal and external factors that impact not only your beliefs, but the feelings, behaviors, and relationships associated with those beliefs.
I collaborate with individuals, couples, and families, and together, we work to accomplish the changes they desperately want to make. If you are ready for a change, know I will be right by your side as you reclaim joy, face your fears, and begin to feel at peace with yourself again (or maybe even for the first time).
Greetings!
I’m excited to welcome you to work with me. I’m a licensed clinical social worker with years of experience working with individuals who chose to focus on themselves in a holistic manner. I believe our minds, bodies and souls heal best when we address them jointly.

I’m Dr. Madeline Michel, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with nearly 20 years of nursing experience and more than 13 years of experience as a nurse practitioner. I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing at Florida Atlantic University and hold three board certifications as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, and Gerontological Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of caring for individuals across the lifespan in a variety of clinical settings. Life can feel overwhelming when anxiety, depression, trauma, or difficult life transitions begin affecting your relationships, confidence, and ability to enjoy everyday life. You may feel emotionally exhausted, stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or uncertain about how to move forward. You don't have to carry those struggles alone, and meaningful change is possible. I partner with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, cultural and ethnic issues, women's issues, and trauma so they can build confidence, strengthen relationships, and create a greater sense of balance and emotional wellbeing. Working with adolescents and adults in both English and Spanish, I strive to create a welcoming, culturally responsive environment where you feel understood, respected, and empowered to grow.
