I’m a bilingual (Spanish-English), bicultural Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and therapist supporting teens, college students, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, stress, depression, life transitions, and cultural or identity-related concerns.
I am ready to listen and to help you in any way I can. I have helped many people reduce anxiety and depression and I would like to help you as well. I have worked with college students, new moms, men, people dealing with work/life balance, grief and loss and older adults who are going through various issues such as struggles with their adult children and health issues. Let's turn some of those tears into laughter. Let's talk.
I understand that the decision to seek help for mental health needs can be a nerve-racking and scary process. When it comes to patient care, I am most passionate about the preservation of dignity and making my patients feel seen. I meet fear or nervousness with acceptance, encouragement, and knowledge.
My therapeutic method is tailored to fit your temperament and individual experience. You may be facing a combination of personal, social, and institutional adversity. Discomfort may be unavoidable, but you are not alone; I can help you transform hardship or tragedy into resilience. My process is effective; it evolves as you do. If you experience negative feelings like inadequacy, grief, or shame, I can help you understand the origin of the discomfort and make changes toward ease. Sometimes, worry can be helpful; other times, anxiety and depression lie to us. Having worked in both economically-strained and prosperous communities, I have seen the impact of trauma and neglect on various people. I also understand being a white male can insulate me against the prejudice and discrimination commonly experienced by people of color, women, and the LGBTQ community; I trust my client’s experiences and take responsibility for my blind spots.
As a clinician, I enjoy working with everyone in all phases of life helping in building self-esteem, managing addiction, trauma, self-discovery, medication management, anger management, re-establishing one's dreams/purpose, building/strengthening relationships one has with self, partners or family systems.
I have worked with foster children, young adults, primary care staff and patients, those who struggled with substance abuse in a methadone clinic, provided supervision to non-licensed social workers in the hospital.
I welcome the opportunity to meet with you for a consultation to see if working together would be a great match like a grilled cheese or peanut butter sandwich.
Best of luck on your journey to health and wellness.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a breadth of experience in the field for over a decade; I’ve worked with folks with developmental and intellectual disabilities, serious persistent mental illnesses, and the working well. I’ve worked across all settings: inpatient, outpatient, corrections, and a small private practice. I am comfortable working with late teens through adulthood and love working with D/deaf individuals!
Finding a therapist who genuinely understands your background, not just your diagnosis, can make the difference between therapy that feels like going through the motions and therapy that actually moves you.
I'm a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), and Certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT), fluent in English and Hebrew. I'm also a Doctoral Candidate pursuing my DSW. I work with adolescents and adults navigating trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, identity, emotional regulation, and major life transitions.
Before private practice, much of my clinical work took place in crisis response, hospital-based care, community mental health, and other high-stress environments. That experience taught me how to sit with difficult things without becoming intimidated by them, while also recognizing that people are far more than the hardest things that have happened to them.
As a therapist, I'm warm, direct, collaborative, and genuinely curious about the person sitting across from me. I don't believe therapy should feel clinical for the sake of sounding clinical, and I don't believe my role is to simply tell you what you should do. I want to understand how you got here: the experiences that shaped you, the patterns you've developed, what those patterns may have helped you survive or manage, and whether they're still serving you now. From there, we can figure out together what you want to keep, what you want to change, and what moving forward can actually look like for you.
- With 30 years of experience in behavioral health, I am an LICSW licensed in MA, CT, and RI. I hold a Master's Degree from Columbia University. My expertise includes providing evidence-based treatment and psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy to adults and couples.
I believe therapy begins with meeting you where you are. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience supporting youth, families, adolescents, young adults, couples, and individuals of all genders. I have worked with clients navigating anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, self-esteem challenges, life transitions, and the effects of domestic violence.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Mount Saint Mary College and my Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California. As someone originally from Jamaica, I value creating an inclusive space where your culture, identity, strengths, and experiences are respected.
I have worked in many different areas from school age children to the elderly. I bring with me the skills and experiences to my therapy practice. I can help your start your journey and explore the hard truths
