Hello and welcome! Taking the first step toward therapy can feel difficult, and I want to acknowledge the courage it can take to reach out. My name is Cynthia, though I go by Cyndra, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who primarily works with individuals.
My path to becoming a therapist was shaped by my own unexpected life transition. In 2010, I experienced a traumatic brain injury (TBI) that dramatically changed the course of my life. During my recovery, I gained a deeper understanding of how challenging major life transitions can be and how important it is to have support while navigating uncertainty, loss, and change. I also became fascinated by how the brain works, how our experiences shape us, and our capacity to heal and adapt. That journey ultimately led me into the mental health field in 2012.
Since then, I have had the privilege of supporting individuals as they navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and other challenges that can leave us feeling overwhelmed or disconnected from ourselves.
I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a PhD and 34 years of experience, offering telehealth therapy to clients in California. I'm most in my element with people who are learning their needs, what's getting in their way and feel ready to meet their challenges. My clients come from all walks of life. I help those who are too hard on themselves to become their own best friend.
Ready to feel more connected, confident, and in control of your life? Whether you’re facing relationship struggles, overwhelming emotions, or challenges around identity, you deserve a space where you feel truly seen and supported.
I’m Rocio Vaca, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 17+ years of experience helping couples, individuals, children, and teens create meaningful, lasting change.
For couples, I help turn conflict and disconnection into stronger communication, deeper friendship, and emotional intimacy.
I provide an affirming, judgment-free space for those exploring identity, preparing to come out, building self-acceptance, or navigating gender-affirming care. Together, we can strengthen resilience and address anxiety, depression, and stress.
It is my prayer to build a practice that helps you reach a place where your mental health is truly at the forefront. My hope is that with each appointment—and each day—you feel supported in moving closer to the best version of yourself.
Life can feel overwhelming when you are dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, stress, trauma, or a major life transition. You may appear to have everything together while privately feeling emotionally exhausted, worried, stuck, or unsure about what comes next. I provide a supportive space where you can talk openly, better understand what you are experiencing, and develop practical tools to help you move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 20 years of professional experience. My educational background includes the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and my experience includes behavioral health, medical social work, trauma-informed care, grief and loss, chronic health concerns, caregiver support, and major life transitions.
My therapeutic style is warm, compassionate, collaborative, and practical. I help clients identify patterns, strengthen coping skills, improve emotional regulation, build healthier boundaries, increase confidence, and make meaningful changes in daily life. I individualize treatment because therapy is not one-size-fits-all.
I provide online therapy to adults throughout California and Nevada, including professionals, caregivers, and individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship or family stress, work-related stress, health-related concerns, or significant life changes. For clients who desire it, I also offer Christian faith-integrated therapy, incorporating faith, prayer, spiritual values, and biblical principles in a way that is comfortable and meaningful to you.
You do not have to be in crisis to begin therapy. Sometimes you simply know that something needs to change. Together, we can work toward healthier coping, stronger relationships, greater emotional well-being, and a renewed sense of direction and hope.
No matter where you are on your journey, HOPE Abounds.
