Hi
My name is Maximiliano Cabellos, LMFT
I am here to support you in addressing your needs and help you discover an appropriate and healthy approach. My goal is to assist you in getting to the root of challenges and overcoming them to live a more fulfilled life.
My hope is to help the client and families reach their goals and to provide them with a safe and non-judgmental place to do that. When working with a client, I will assist in allowing the clients to process their feelings and thoughts in a safe and non-judgmental environment.
I am fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and have a strong understanding of deaf culture.
I have many years of experience working with couples, families, adults, young adults, teens, and children.
Welcome! My name is Adriana Samano. I have a passion for helping individuals, couples, and adolescents improve their lives. My goal in therapy is to create a safe place where you can be seen, heard, and valued while implementing practical solutions to empower clients to believe in themselves and begin to live the life they want. I believe that I can help you with the issues and traumas that are affecting your personal growth and relationships and help you regain connection.
I am a board certified, doctoral prepared PMHNP. I completed my post graduate at National University in Adult, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. I earned my DNP from Azusa Pacific University and graduated from CSUSB MSN program. I have been a faculty at CSUSB since 2014. Extensively trained and a certified Trauma-Informed specialist. I diagnose and treat mental disorders including medication-assisted treatment along with counseling for chemical dependency and substance use disorders.
I'm a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in private practice in the Los Angeles area.
I received my Master’s Degree in Marital and Family Therapy from Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena, California, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Southern California. I'm committed to expanding my knowledge and training, which has included workshops and trainings on treating trauma in children, adults, and older populations, as well as trainings on attachment, Interpersonal Neurobiology, Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, ADHD, and working with couples.
I've worked with clients in recovery from chemical addiction, people dealing with chronic mental illness such as schizophrenia and bi-polar disorder, and couples and individuals working through issues of infertility, adoption, family building and life transitions.
Regardless of the age of my client, whether I'm working with a 25 year old struggling with career options, or married couples facing the challenge of dealing with infertility, or an individual in her 70s facing the difficult transitions that come with aging, my approach always begins from a humanistic core, filled with respect, compassion and consideration. In this search for a meaningful, integrated life, I work to help my clients make their own decisions, find their own happiness, and deepen their own relationships with health and vitality. It's your process. You may be struggling to find your way back to a life you once enjoyed, or you may be seeking a path of discovery for a life you want to live. I want to help.
