YOUR story matters, YOUR healing matters. I'm here to support YOU! I bring 27 years of experience in mental health and psychiatry, with a strong commitment to compassionate, individualized care. I earned my master's degree from UCLA and completed my PMHNP training at National University. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, respected, and cared for,
Hi and welcome/bienvenidos! My name is Elizabeth Aguilar-Godinez, LMFT. I am a bilingual, Spanish speaking Clinician and work with cultural related issues, family/familia dynamics, anxiety, depression and stress. I have extensive experience in working with children, adolescents and young adults. I am Certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and specialize in working through childhood trauma and how it continues to impact us into adulthood.
Introduction
I primarily use a cognitive behavioral approach. My focus area of practice is helping clients improve their lives and find meaningful change.
My communication style
My sessions are calm, collegial, interactive, respectful, directive, and helpful.
How I help clients reach goals
Change does not necessarily take a long time. We're 'shooting for the moon' right away. What's the worst that could happen?
My journey to becoming a provider
Helping others help themselves is an absolute privilege! I'd pay them to do this work (but please don't tell them that.) How did I get here? It's a long story. I originally went to college to be a journalist, but changed to broadcasting. Dumb. I needed to jumpstart my life, so I changed to this profession. Talk about purpose and meaning!
If you’re a young adult wrestling with racing thoughts, sadness, hopelessness, or loneliness, you’ve found a safe place to land. I specialize in supporting young adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, big life transitions, and self-esteem struggles. Whatever you’re carrying, you can show up exactly as you are here, in a warm, supportive, and completely nonjudgmental space where you never have to pretend to be okay.
You don't have to arrive here put together. Whatever you're carrying right now belongs in this space: anxiety, grief, relationship stress, a shifting sense of who you are, or something you haven't quite found words for yet. I work with adults and older adults navigating the full range of what life brings, with a particular passion for supporting BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities and people who are questioning or deconstructing their faith. My work spans trauma, identity, women's issues, OCD, depression, and the anger or sadness that accumulates when you've been holding too much for too long.
It is my prayer to build a practice that helps you reach a place where your mental health is truly at the forefront. My hope is that with each appointment—and each day—you feel supported in moving closer to the best version of yourself.
With over 15 years of experience, I have helped countless individuals navigate the challenges they face and find peace within themselves. Together, we can work towards culminating a healthier and more fulfilling future.
When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my dogs, hiking with friends, cooking, and making flower arrangements. I also enjoy spending time doing artsy activities or attending local events.

My goal is to be an alley to your wellness journey.
I believe people carry far more strength, clarity, and resilience than they often realize. My role is to help you understand the emotional patterns and internal narratives that shape your experience, so you can move through life with greater freedom and self‐trust. I’m engaged, attuned, and honest in the room — offering reflection, insight, and steady collaboration as we explore what’s happening beneath the surface. We work at a pace that feels grounded for you, creating space for real change to germinate.
