I am a board-certified nurse practitioner in both psychiatry and family medicine. I received my Bachelor's of Nursing degree from UT Austin in 2008 and my Master's degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from UT Austin in 2014.

I have spent over a decade as a nurse practitioner treating adults with complex autoimmune conditions and those in the LGBTQ+ community. After repeatedly witnessing the common concern of not feeling seen or understood, I realized the need for a mental wellness clinic to treat the entire person, not just their diagnosis.

In 2025 I received my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification through Johns Hopkins University.

I created Little Light Wellness to integrate my passions for authentic, down-to-earth care, education, and empowering collaborative approaches to psychiatric medication

management. My goal is to create a safe space for you to feel truly seen, heard, and understood as we discover what treatment paths work best for you on your mental wellness journey.

My academic background includes a Master of Science in Mental Health and a Bachelor’s in Nursing and Biology. I was honored to receive the Excellence in Nursing Award from the Good Samaritan Foundation of Texas, a recognition of my dedication to compassionate and high-quality care.

Latosha Jackson is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 16 years in mental health care. She has worked in inpatient settings, outpatient clinics, and substance use rehab. That breadth means she has met patients at every stage of recovery and is hard to surprise.

She earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at Chamberlain College of Nursing. She also holds dual master's degrees, one in Executive Nursing and one in Psychiatric Mental Health. That training shapes how she thinks about diagnosis and care today.
