My name is Leilani and I’m a dual-certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and I believe feeling heard is just as important as any treatment plan. My background in both primary care and mental health, along with my experience as a military veteran and spouse, helps me understand how stress, health, and life experiences are often deeply intertwined. I work with adults facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and big life transitions, and I take time to listen before offering guidance. My goal is to create a calm, supportive space where we can talk things through together and move forward in a way that feels manageable and right for you.

Hi, I’m a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I graduated from Drexel University with my Master's degree in Nursing. I then completed my Post-Graduate Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have over twenty years of experience working in healthcare. Psych has always been my passion. My experiences encompass working with clients across the life span, including Child and Adolescents, Adult, and Geriatric patient populations. I’ve provided services to clients presenting with many psychiatric disorders, such as Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, and more. I’m in the belief that mental health wellbeing is a priority. Human beings are resilient. Holistic care is the key to promoting better patient outcomes. Therefore, I believe that with an evidence-based practice treatment plan consisting of psychotherapy and/or a combination of psychotherapy and medication management, one will be able to control their mental health.
I’m a very compassionate, caring, and empathetic person. I strive to provide holistic care and collaborate with my clients to develop a treatment plan that they are comfortable with.
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 16 years of nursing experience across behavioral health, trauma, critical care, geriatrics, and nursing leadership. Throughout my career, I have seen how deeply mental health affects every part of a person’s life, their relationships, work, sleep, confidence, physical health, and ability to feel like themselves.
I provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management for clients navigating depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma-related symptoms, mood changes, insomnia, stress, burnout, and life transitions.
My style is warm, empowering, holistic, and solution-oriented. I believe healing begins with feeling heard, understood, and supported without judgment. My goal is to help clients feel less stuck, reconnect with themselves, and move toward feeling whole again. Together, we will look beyond symptoms and explore the life experiences, stressors, sleep patterns, medical concerns, relationships, and personal goals that may be affecting your mental health.
I want clients to leave care feeling informed, hopeful, and equipped with a plan that helps them optimize what matters most and build a life they can truly enjoy.
PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING, thank you.
I am a board-certified Psychiatrist (medical doctor) providing virtual care throughout NY and PA. I taper medications. This means most of my patients want to safely reduce or ultimately stop taking psychiatric medications, and I guide them through that process safely and at their own pace. I include therapy in my 30-min follow up sessions, though do not offer weekly 1-hour therapy sessions. Many of my patients also work with a therapist.

Find the right psychiatrist for you
Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Factors to Consider When Choosing a Psychiatrist in Pennsylvania
Finding psychiatrists in Pennsylvania starts with understanding the type of mental health care you want to access. Psychiatrists and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners can diagnose mental health conditions, prescribe medication, and manage medication plans. Therapists provide talk therapy and may work alongside a prescriber. Across urban and rural parts of Pennsylvania, available specialists and appointment formats can vary. If you’re looking for support for anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, or medication management, review each psychiatrist’s listed specialties and bio to see whether their training matches your needs.
Your search may look different in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Harrisburg, or a smaller Pennsylvania community. In-person appointments may work best if you prefer an office setting, while virtual appointments can make care easier to fit around work, school, caregiving, or travel time. Psychiatric medication management appointments are usually shorter and less frequent than therapy sessions, and some psychiatrists also offer therapy. Some people work with both a therapist and a prescriber. Before booking, compare appointment availability, whether the psychiatrist is accepting new patients, and whether a free phone consultation is offered. Bios can also show communication style, care approach, and what to expect in a first visit.
Psychiatric care in Pennsylvania can be a significant expense without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and understand what you may pay before care begins. Headway helps you find psychiatrists who match your preferences, verifies that listed psychiatrists are accepting new patients with your plan, and shows estimated out-of-pocket costs before you book. Nationally, Headway partners with 100+ insurance plans, and you can enter your insurance details to confirm coverage for your specific area and plan before booking.
If you're already taking psychiatric medication and considering switching providers, talk to your current prescriber before changing or stopping any medication — most psychiatric medications shouldn't be stopped abruptly. Anyone experiencing thoughts of self-harm or in acute crisis should call 988 or go to the nearest emergency department rather than wait for an outpatient appointment.
