I am a double board-certified Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience across the continuum of psychiatric care, including acute psychiatric emergencies, inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, geriatric mental health, intellectual and developmental disability services, and healthcare management. I hold a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and am currently completing my Doctorate, reflecting my ongoing commitment to clinical excellence, evidence-based practice, and lifelong learning.
Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals and families navigating a wide range of psychiatric conditions, from situational anxiety and depression to severe and persistent mental illness. My clinical experience includes extensive work with schizophrenia and psychotic disorders, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma-related conditions, and mood instability across the lifespan. I am particularly experienced in caring for geriatric patients, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and patients with complex medication regimens requiring careful evaluation, simplification, and long-term stabilization.
I also work closely with college-aged patients and adults who are navigating academic pressure, career transitions, family dynamics, identity development, and the cumulative stressors that can emerge during periods of high responsibility or change. Many of my patients are high-functioning individuals who appear “put together” on the outside but struggle internally with anxiety, rumination, intrusive thoughts, emotional dysregulation, or burnout. Others are managing chronic psychiatric illness while striving to maintain independence, relationships, and quality of life.
I am accepting new clients for tele-health appointments. I provide medication management for: anxiety, depression, bipolar, and/or ADHD. I have after-hour appointments and Saturday availability.

Find the right psychiatrist for you
Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Factors to Consider When Choosing a Psychiatrist in Arvada, CO
Finding psychiatrists in Arvada starts with understanding what type of mental health care fits your needs. Psychiatrists can diagnose mental health conditions, prescribe medication, and manage medication plans. Psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners can also prescribe and manage medication through their license and training. Therapists provide talk therapy and may work with people living with anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, trauma, and stress. Some people start with therapy, some start with psychiatry, and some work with both. As you compare options, look for a psychiatrist whose listed specialties, experience, and care style match what you want support with.
Arvada has a smaller local psychiatry market than nearby Denver, so virtual appointments can help expand your options while keeping care close to your schedule. In-person care may fit well if you prefer an office near Olde Town, Standley Lake, or another nearby area. Virtual care may fit better if you need more flexibility around work, school, or commute time. Psychiatric medication management appointments are often shorter and less frequent than therapy sessions, and some psychiatrists also offer therapy. Before booking, read each psychiatrist’s profile to understand their approach, appointment format, availability, and whether they offer a free phone consultation.
Psychiatric care in Arvada can be a significant expense without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to lower your out-of-pocket costs and understand what you may pay before care begins. Headway helps you search for psychiatrists who are accepting new patients, add your insurance details, and see an estimated session cost before you book. You can compare profiles, choose between virtual and in-person options when available, and book directly when you’re ready.
If you're already taking psychiatric medication and considering switching providers, talk to your current prescriber before changing or stopping any medication — most psychiatric medications shouldn't be stopped abruptly. Anyone experiencing thoughts of self-harm or in acute crisis should call 988 or go to the nearest emergency department rather than wait for an outpatient appointment.
