Hi there—I’m so glad you’re here. Life has thrown me my share of curveballs: childhood trauma, family struggles with addiction, deep losses, and the constant upheaval of moves and changing homes. Those experiences taught me what it feels like to question your worth—and how powerful it is to reclaim it.
Since 2022, I’ve been walking alongside people who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or simply trying to make sense of being human in a complicated world. As an EMDR-certified and EFT-trained therapist, I love helping clients uncover the roots of their pain and build the skills to heal and thrive. My approach is trauma-informed, attachment-focused, and always centered on you—your story, your goals, your pace.
I work with teens and adults specializing in complex PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other trauma related mental health issues. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just curious about what therapy might offer, I’m here to help you reconnect with your strengths and move toward the life you want—with compassion, curiosity, and practical tools for lasting change.
I am a licensed therapist and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional based in Colorado and Wyoming. My approach to therapy is Christian-based drawing from a range of person-centered and evidence‐informed therapeutic methods. At the heart of my work, I believe each individual has the capacity for change and growth. Even when life feels heavy, there is always a part of us that holds the gift of resilience, wisdom, and healing grace. My role is to help individuals reconnect with that part to create a grounded, supportive space where they can feel understood, regain a sense of control, and move toward the changes that matter most to them. Two decades of clinical excellence.
Dr. Cindy Ruelas-Tafolla's path to becoming a clinician began at age 13 with the sudden loss of her father — an experience that planted the seed of her life's purpose: to be the kind of support she needed during her own darkest moments.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society from UC Santa Barbara, her Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California, and her Doctorate in Social Work (DSW) from USC.
Over two decades, she has served as a Medical Social Worker, Case Manager, and Behavioral Health Therapist — bringing doctoral-level depth, board-certified credentials, and genuine compassion to every client she works with.
Whether you are navigating the heavy weight of trauma, the grip of anxiety, the delicate seasons of a marriage that can lead to isolation, regrets and unhappiness, or the desire to excel in your career or on the field, the right support makes all the difference. With 22 years of experience as a Clinical Social Worker, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space to help you untangle complex challenges and unlock your true potential and move towards the life you want. Our power comes from our intentionality and choices. I can help you nurture the resources you already have and help you develop new strategies when needed
