Mental health counseling is a form of help that can be tailored to meet the diverse needs of many individuals. Some mental health professionals, including me, intentionally incorporate spiritual or religious elements into their therapeutic practices. I do so because I primarily serve a Christian community, because my clients also adhere to religious principles in their own lives, and I subscribe to the belief that people experiencing distress can especially benefit from the help of God and spiritual empowerment.
I specialize in trauma-informed care and evidence-based treatment for PTSD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders and military families. With over a decade of experience, I offer culturally responsive therapy in English and Spanish. My telehealth-only practice provides a safe, supportive space for healing, growth, and emotional wellness.
I provide psychiatric medication management to kids, teens, and adults struggling with low mood, overwhelming anxiety, post-traumatic stress, and other challenges. If you are finding it is hard to enjoy life, to connect with others, to eat and sleep well, to make it to school or get all the adulting done, we can explore these challenges and see if psychiatric medications might help. I love working with queer and trans clients, neurodivergent clients, and trauma survivors.
The approach I take is a bottom-up Psychodynamic approach.
As your therapist, my primary commitment is to help you succeed in the ways that matter to you. Together, we’ll explore your underlying thoughts, feelings, and desires and consider how they may be influencing your life. We’ll look honestly at what is working and what isn’t. I’ll offer insight, guidance, and support while respecting your pace and where you are in the process. Our work will focus on creating meaningful, lasting change that reflects what matters most to you.
I believe therapy is a collaborative journey toward healing, growth, and lasting change. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel safe exploring your experiences, gaining insight, and building practical tools to navigate life's challenges.
I work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship concerns, stress, and challenges related to identity and belonging. My approach recognizes that our experiences are shaped not only by our personal histories but also by our families, communities, cultures, and the broader systems we live within.
I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Washington and have approximately six years of experience providing psychotherapy. In addition to my clinical work, I have over two decades of experience in child welfare, supervision, leadership, and social work education. These experiences have deepened my understanding of trauma, resilience, and the many factors that influence mental health and well-being.
Hope is the beginning of change. I am an expert in psychology. You are an expert on you. Let me join you on your journey to making change and healing, where I specialize in focusing on trauma, anxiety, and depression. As a PhD, my training has been extensive. I trained at an anxiety treatment center, a DBT center, a private practice that focused on trauma, a state prison, a stated developmental disability care facility.

My goal is that you feel genuinely seen, supported, and understood in our work together. I bring a warm, grounded, and collaborative style to therapy, helping adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship stress, and long‐standing emotional patterns. I pay close attention to the deeper themes beneath the surface—your beliefs, your protective strategies, and the ways you’ve learned to cope—so we can create meaningful, lasting change. My goal is to help you feel safe, empowered, and more connected to yourself from the very beginning.
