It might mean learning to set boundaries, working through a life transition or changing a pattern that is keeping you stuck.
I'm a clinical psychologist residing in the mountains of Southwest Virginia, where I came to start my education in 1998 at Virginia Tech, and where I stayed to complete my graduate training at nearby Radford University. Since then, I've worked in community mental health, college counseling, and private practice, with a brief stint in neuropsychology along the way. I've also been an assistant professor at Radford and at Roanoke College. I think of myself as a generalist (meaning I like to work with a broad range of clients and issues), but have had the most experience with mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, substance use disorders, and LGBTQ+ issues. When not practicing, I devote my time to family, dogs, video games, tabletop RPGs, cooking, and badly writing electronic music.
I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) and bi-cultural Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida and Virginia. I am committed to helping my clients on their journey to becoming happier and healthier, as well as improving their interpersonal relationships and behavioral patterns.

Have you ever felt like you're accomplishing everything but still feel unfulfilled or unsatisfied? Do you give so much of yourself to others that little is left for you at the end of the day? Does your child's behaviors (fighting, defiance, truancy, argumentative) leave you wondering what's really going on beneath the surface. It just might be time to take a deeper look.
I’m Tiana Welch, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, providing telehealth therapy for children, teens, and young adult/adult women. With six years of experience, I have supported clients facing many challenges, including mental health concerns, behavioral issues, and substance abuse. My passion lies in helping children, teens, and families take a deeper look at behaviors to uncover the root causes, and in supporting young adult and adult women as they peel back the layers of perfectionism, burnout, and societal expectations to reconnect with their true selves.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy attending Pilates and spin classes, coloring, painting, reading, and exploring new creative hobbies like learning to sew (this month).
I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Emory University.
