My name is Luis, and I am an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) based out of San Antonio. I received my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M - San Antonio and have worked in outpatient, inpatient, and partial hospitalization settings. I tailor therapy to your unique needs and goals, drawing from evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, and Gestalt techniques when appropriate.
I am a tenured psychotherapist who has been licensed for 19+ years, and I have experience in a variety of behavioral and mental health settings. I have been trained in many modalities of psychotherapy, and my passion is to see people heal by connecting them with their own strengths and natural abilities to achieve the goals they set for themselves.
I believe therapy works best when you can show up as yourself without judgment, pressure, or feeling like you have to say the “right” thing. I’ve known since I was a junior in high school that I wanted to help people heal from the inside out, and that purpose has stayed with me ever since. For me, therapy isn’t just a job it's my purpose.
I work with clients ages 10+ navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, grief, self-esteem, and life transitions. I’m warm, down-to-earth, and pretty easy to talk to. You don’t have to come to therapy with everything figured out...we will do that together!
What was your path to becoming a mental health provider?
I always had a desire to understand people and didn't realize there was a profession centered around my curiosity until college. I was also very intrigued with trying to understand my emotions growing up and because I struggled, I developed a desire to help others through their life challenges. I started providing support services to families and volunteers through a mentoring agency, which later led to interning at a psychiatric outpatient facility, to working with foster children providing therapy and to also growing my private practice here with Alma working with adults and children.
What should someone know about working with you?
I believe I am relatable and open to the sharing of myself with the understanding and expectation that you will be entrusting your vulnerabilities with me in session. I will challenge your thoughts, your patterns and your assumptions, and I give homework routinely as an extension of our time together to keep you active and engaged until we meet again.
How do you continue learning and building new skills?
I am committed to being a life-long learner. I take courses and trainings annually, listen to and learn from seasoned clinicians and try to stay afloat of new groundbreaking research related to treatments and techniques surrounding mental health.
"Success for me, is helping others create the wellness they desire."
Hello and welcome! I'm Tracey Arnold, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience supporting children, teens, and adults from diverse backgrounds. I am licensed Latina trauma therapist. I work with diverse adult survivors of childhood abuse and traumatic life events including experiences of oppression and discrimination. I believe that one of the biggest factors in healing comes from having a safe, nurturing, and compassionate relationship with someone who can bear witness to your pain, and help you to relieve it. Our healing relationship is always my greatest priority. You will find that I am a warm and caring therapist who will act as a guide as we discover the path to your healing. We will walk this sacred path together. I serve clients across California and Texas via telehealth.
I believe meaningful therapy begins with feeling genuinely seen, heard, and understood. My approach is Humanistic and Existential, grounded in empathy, authenticity, and respect for your unique story. While my credentials reflect my dedication to the field, my greatest strength is the genuine care and seasoned clinical experience I bring to each person I serve.
I am a Doctor of Psychology with an Ed.D. in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University, a Texas Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), with more than 15 years of experience in mental health and education. My academic journey began at Virginia State University, a proud HBCU, where I earned a B.S. in Psychology with minors in English and Modern Dance. I later earned an M.A. in School Counseling, with a focus on Psychology and Marriage & Family Therapy, from Phillips Graduate Institute (now Phillips Graduate University).
My clinical and professional experience spans diverse settings and communities. I have worked in every jail in Los Angeles County and served for several years as a Consulting Psychologist at one of Philadelphia’s largest rehabilitation hospitals. As a native New Jerseyan who has spent much of my adult life in Los Angeles, my work as an educator and professor in multiple states, along with decades as a professional dancer and choreographer, has shaped a deeply nuanced understanding of creativity, self-expression, and the mind-body connection.
As a professor, I explore the psychological impact of media on women’s self-esteem, helping clients navigate comparison, societal expectations, and the pressures of modern life.
Therapy with me is collaborative. I will meet you where you are, listen deeply, and help you develop greater self-understanding, resilience, and a life that feels more authentic, purposeful, and your own.
Challenges shouldn’t just be endured—they should be the catalyst for your breakthrough. My goal is to help you transform life's toughest hurdles into a foundation for lasting resilience and self-discovery, giving you the tools to reclaim your strength and lead a more intentional life.
