I'm a psychologist for people whose lives have been shaped by serious illness. That might mean managing a chronic or complex condition yourself, caring for someone who is seriously ill, or working in medicine and carrying what you see home with you. I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology from Marquette University and trained in pediatric and congenital medical settings, working alongside hospital teams in the cardiac ICU, oncology, and neurology. That background means the medical side of your life doesn't need explaining before the work can start.
Are you not feeling like yourself lately? I work with women who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, irritated, sad, or simply not where they’d like to be. Maybe you’re dealing with relationship challenges, aging parents, family estrangement, a career change, financial stress, or a transition you didn’t see coming. Sometimes changes in how you look or see yourself, whether from illness, hair loss, or other life changes, can affect your confidence in ways that are hard to explain. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you reach out. We’ll start where you are and work from there.

I believe that healing begins when people feel truly seen, heard, and understood. My goal is to create a space where you don't have to have all the answers or pretend everything is okay you can simply show up as you are.
My path to becoming a therapist began at a young age. I earned my bachelor's degree in Education before completing my Master of Social Work at Baylor University and becoming a Social Worker. My background in both education and clinical social work allows me to understand how life's experiences, relationships, and environments shape who we are while helping clients develop practical, meaningful strategies for change.
I founded LyricsHeart Services because I wanted to build a practice centered on compassion, connection, and hope. The name "LyricsHeart" was inspired by my dog, Lyric, whose unconditional love and comfort reminded me of the profound impact that being present for someone can have. After experiencing the grief of losing Lyric, I gained an even deeper appreciation for the ways loss, love, and resilience shape our lives. Those experiences continue to influence how I show up for my clients, with empathy, authenticity, and the belief that healing is possible even after life's most difficult moments.
Today, I primarily work with adults, young adults, and kids navigating anxiety, grief, life transitions, stress, self-esteem, relationship challenges, and the emotional weight that can come from trying to hold everything together. My style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I don't believe therapy is about "fixing" you, it's about helping you better understand yourself, recognize your strengths, and build the tools you need to move forward with confidence.
Whether you're facing a major life transition, processing a loss, or simply looking for a place where you can breathe and be yourself, I'd be honored to walk alongside you.
I’m a warm and open minded provider who believes that everyone’s story is unique. I create a safe and supportive space where you can feel comfortable sharing your challenges. My goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered as we work together toward growth and healing.

Some days, it's hard to explain what is wrong, but you are still showing up, still getting through your to-do list. But something feels off. It's not just "stress," and you aren't being dramatic. What you are feeling is real, and you deserve support that actually helps. I work with patients across a wide range of mental health experiences - whether you are dealing with anxiety and depression, mood disorder, ADHD, or navigating something that feels new and hard to name
