Hello, my name is Katie, and I’m a licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion and evidence-based care. I hold a Master in Nursing degree from York College of Pennsylvania and have 6 years of nursing experience working in mental health. My areas of specialization include child and adolescent psychiatry, anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment and relationship issues. I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, empowered, and equipped to create meaningful change in their lives.
PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING, thank you. I am a board-certified Psychiatrist (medical doctor) providing virtual care throughout NY and PA. I taper medications. This means my patients want to reduce or stop psychiatric medications, and I guide them through that process at a safe pace. My 30-minute follow-up sessions include supportive counsel, though I do not offer weekly one-hour therapy. Many of my patients also work with a therapist. My understanding of suffering and hope is rooted in a Christ-centered faith, which shapes the wisdom and care I bring to my work.
As an EMDR-trained licensed clinical social worker, I work alongside clients to encourage vulnerability and build resiliency. I hold a double master's degree in social work and human sexuality, a trauma certificate, and Beck CBT certification. I work with individual adults and within relationships, using a healthy dose of humor and sensitivity.
I earned my MSW from Rutgers University after changing from Engineering to Psychology during my undergraduate years. I primarily focus on trauma work but have a wide-ranging skillset and have worked with chronic pain, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, identity issues, relationship and communication issues, and more. I have worked with a variable population, of multiple genders, sexual orientations, races, and cultures; I am also LGBTQIA+, ENM, and kink affirming/supportive.
Hi and welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 20 years of experience in the field.
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but it does not have to be. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, understood, and supported from the very first session. I am known for being down-to-earth, genuine, and easy to talk to. I have several years of experience providing family therapy and working with individuals facing anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, family conflict, and life transitions. My approach is collaborative and flexible, allowing us to work together to identify goals and develop practical strategies that support meaningful change.
