Hi, my name is Dr. Deirdre Adduci and I believe that when two people work together, we can achieve great things and that together we can become a team that is able to assess and achieve your goals. Sometimes life can be difficult and it can be challenging, but I do believe that teamwork helps to improve our outlook and also to strategize ways to move forward. At times, people will tell me that they feel stuck, but often times this is merely because working alone we may not be able to see all of our options and possible solutions. I do believe that there are solutions that we haven’t even yet. We can do that together. I received my undergraduate education at The Ohio State University, where I studied criminology, my masters degree and counseling from Youngstown State University and my PhD from The University of Akron. I have my independent license in Counseling(LPCC-S),Marriage and Family Counseling (LIMFT), my independent license, my independent license in Chemical Dependency Counseling (LICDC-S) and a license and social work (LSW). I always tell my clients that I could not do what I do if I did not so passionately believe that counseling truly works. I have worked with foster care children and families, helping to ease transitions and relieve post-traumatic stress symptoms. I’m Kathy and I have been a social worker for 23 years now. I have been a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker for the last 16 years of that time. For the majority of my profession, I have been working in the hospital setting, helping patients find solutions to a wide range of needs. I have seen patients struggle in many different ways in life and helping them has also helped me grow as a social worker.

Since 2018, I have provided specialized mental health therapy across diverse settings, including college-based community mental health with BIPOC programming, inpatient addiction care, and private practice. My practice focuses heavily on supporting women, students, individuals experiencing various life transitions, and those, who are exhausted from people-pleasing, overcommitting, and ignoring their own boundaries.
