As an experienced psychotherapist, I believe that an empathic approach creates an environment, in which, trust and curiosity can flourished, facilitating the adjustment to an already difficult process. The relationship between psychotherapist and patient constitutes an important tool, in the understanding of patient's past and present behaviors.
What if improving your relationships isn’t starting together, but starting with you? As a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), I work with individuals who are curious about their relationship patterns and ready to create meaningful change from the inside out. You may feel stuck in recurring dynamics, find yourself questioning how your family background shapes your relationships, or want to communicate more effectively. Together, we create a space to gain clarity, better understand what’s driving these patterns, and begin making intentional shifts toward healthier, more balanced relationships.
I have been trained in expressive arts therapy and is a certified gestalt therapist. I utilizes the arts according to each person’s abilities to imagine and develop body awareness. My eclectic approach suits people who seek to find themselves in mental health. As a blind Japanese immigrant, I work especially well with differently-abled people and Pan Asians.
Hi there and welcome!
My priority is supporting clients on their journeys towards personal healing & growth.
In 2010, I received my MSW/LMSW. While doing outpatient clinical work at the NYC non-profit agency JBFCS, I became an LCSW. In 2016, I began to establish my private psychotherapy practice, focusing on young and professional adults presenting with a broad variety of life challenges.
You hold the world together for everyone else. But balancing the complex demands of caretaking, family crises, or supporting a child's disability means your own needs have likely taken a backseat.
My goal is to give you that space back. I bring a grounded, warm presence (and a little humor) to the therapeutic process. Together, we can actively untangle the overwhelm or create a quiet space for profound realizations. Let's talk about how to get you feeling grounded again.
Let me share some information about myself. I am a graduate from Brooklyn College for my BA degree and I attended NYU for my masters degree in social work. I have worked in different setting over the years and really enjoy working with all different age groups. I enjoy families, couples and individuals. I enjoy seeing the progress my clients make once they start to see their own patterns and what they feel they should change.
"Clients start to heal the moment they feel heard".
I believe the best mental health care starts with feeling heard and understood. My goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where you can openly discuss your concerns and feel comfortable being yourself. I provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults experiencing concerns such as anxiety, ADHD, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, OCD, sleep challenges, grief, and maternal mental health. I take time to understand your unique experiences and develop a treatment plan that supports not just symptom relief, but your overall well-being and long-term quality of life.
Hello! I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC), and I am committed to helping you feel supported and understood from day one through your life's challenges with compassion and care. My training and clinical experience have equipped me to work with people facing anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and life transitions. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel respected and heard. My goal is to help you build insight, resilience, and practical tools for lasting emotional well-being.
