---“Beginnings can be scary, endings can be sad, but it’s the middle that counts. We just need to remember that when we find ourselves at the beginning, just give hope a chance to float up” (Sandra Bullock, Hope Floats)
Does it feel like you’ve been going through life in “survival mode?” Are you asking yourself “what is my purpose in life?” Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed by fear when considering a change in your life? Are you trying to navigate a transition in your life--job, relocation, relationships, chronic illness/disability etc? Let’s face it, life doesn’t always work out the way we plan and can make us feel all kinds of different emotions. It’s ok to not feel ok all the time. We all go through challenging times in our lives. We don’t have to have a mental health disorder to seek a professional. We may need to seek out someone who can provide a guiding hand, and an objective ear to listen, to help you discover your own underlying strengths, and to provide you with answers to your questions and help you along your journey. I can help you learn to listen to your body, quiet your mind, and follow your heart to find peace within your soul.

Over thirty years of experience partnering with clients of all ages, from a wide variety of backgrounds, has confirmed for me each person has within themselves the resources and ability to become the person they wish to be and to improve their satisfaction in life.
Hello there! I'm Jillian. I am warm, compassionate, nonjudgmental, creative and funny (at least I think so). I have been helping people for nearly two decades and I have extensive training in several evidence-based practices, including EMDR, EFT Tapping, TF-CBT, and DBT. My specialty is trauma work, but I have also helped clients resolve a wide range of other concerns (see above).
Starting therapy can feel intimidating. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, burnt out, or simply not like yourself, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Whether life feels heavy right now or you’ve been carrying the same struggles for years, this is the place to set some of that down.
My name is Samantha G Stringer and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has worked with youths, adults, the elderly, veterans, church groups, and families as they struggled with conflicts, life transitions, mental health, and substance use related issues. I look forward to partnering with you on your journey to inner healing and new beginnings!
Hi, I'm Stephanie Kapral, a licensed psychologist in Corning, NY. I work with adult, adolescent, and child clients with a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety and stress, depression, relationship issues, trauma, mood disorders, life transitions, interpersonal effectiveness, ADHD, and ASD. I've been in private practice since 2004 and strongly believe it's a privilege to help people navigate the challenges, transitions, and uncertainties that are part of being human! My goal is to provide exceptional psychological service in a manner that is collaborative and person-centered.
I have been practicing therapy for the past ten plus years, but let's be honest, I was born a therapist. I have had the opportunity to learn that we all grow together and are blessed to take this mysterious journey in our own unique way. I have lived and learned experience, as well as extensive education and training. I began my adult career as a police officer and then returned to college as an adult learner. I graduated from Keuka College with my BSW and Syracuse University with my MSW and an advanced certification in trauma. I have worked with all ages and population but primarily with addiction, trauma processing, and self-esteem issues.
At the end of the day, I am here to listen, guide, and help you learn the value of your own experiences. I specialize in trauma, addiction, depression, anxiety and mood disorders but I am also familiar with self-harm, self-image, and self-esteem issues. My goal is to help you recognize your worth, set goals, learn coping skills and strategize positive daily living. If you are ready to make moves for a better tomorrow, I am ready to help. I am trained in CBT, mindfulness, DBT, motivational interviewing, with advanced specialties in trauma informed care. Let's change the narrative on tomorrow. I look forward to connecting and working with you!
I have a transpersonal & relational background in therapy. I graduated with honors from Adelphi University and went on to earn a second masters from Brooklyn College in mental health counseling. After graduating I trained for 6 years at The Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy in their Psychotherapy Center for Gender and Sexuality (PCGS). One of my specialities is working with GLBQ and trans/nonbinary individuals, and I have helped many adults of all ages successfully transition genders.
