Hello! After completing clinical social work studies at Saint Louis University's College of Public Health and Social Justice in 2014 I practiced community mental health in hospice and adult outpatient throughout Monmouth County, NJ till 2022. During this time I became EMDRIA certified (2020), and have continued to grow in exposure with the grief process. Seeing the inextricable link between chronic illness and trauma has fueled my commitment to seek diverse tools for assisting clients while they are living.
As a board certified provider in both Psychiatry and Internal Medicine, Dr. Gordon Kusi specialize in working with individuals who may be experiencing ADHD, anxiety, bipolar, substance use, depression or trauma—particularly when these struggles stem from difficult relationships or family dynamics. In our initial sessions, we will take the time to explore the challenges you're facing in depth and work together to create a personalized plan for healing and growth. Many of my clients begin to notice a gradual relief from symptoms within the first month, with continued improvement over time. My goal is to support you in regaining a sense of balance, clarity, and control so you can move forward with greater confidence and peace
I specialize in adolescents, young adults, and adults. I help develop coping strategies using DBT and CBT skills that produce successful outcomes. As a teacher in the public school systems for over 25 years, I have worked with learning difficulties and social emotional issues caused by all the environmental stressors our generation has to manage.

Hi, my name is YD Goldstein and I'm a clinical psychologist. If you are feeling stuck in life or work, struggling with anxiety, depression, or would like to learn more about yourself, I'd love to schedule a consult with you and speak to you about your therapy treatment options. Mental health struggles can be debilitating, but they don't have to hold you back any longer. I work with children, teens, and adults.
My ideal client is someone wrestling with feelings of shame, guilt, and a lack of authenticity. They may be navigating societal pressures or personal challenges that keep them from embracing who they are fully. Often, they feel held back by the weight of living up to others' expectations and yearn for a life where they can be unapologetically themselves. They want a space to explore and validate their lived experiences, uncover their genuine self, and build a life that feels both radically authentic and fulfilling.
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience providing compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and adults. I work with individuals experiencing ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, PTSD, substance use disorders, and other mental health concerns. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive, skills-based psychotherapy, with treatment tailored to each patient's age, circumstances, symptoms, and goals.
My clinical background includes extensive work in outpatient psychiatry, behavioral health systems, detoxification and dual-diagnosis programs, and community-based mental health organizations. This experience has allowed me to work with individuals across the lifespan and with a wide range of needs, from patients seeking help with anxiety, depression, or ADHD to those managing trauma, substance use, or more complex mental health conditions. I hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with advanced training in psychiatric mental health. In addition to my direct clinical work, I have served as Chief Nurse Executive for a large behavioral health organization, where I oversaw integrated mental health, addiction treatment, and community-care programs. Working at both the patient and organizational levels has given me a broad perspective on mental health care and reinforced the importance of looking beyond a diagnosis to understand the medical, psychological, social, and environmental factors that can affect a person's well-being.
